Dear Websleuths Members, It was with great shock and dismay that we learned today that our Moderator Windchime was convicted of child sexual abuse in 1992. I want to assure you that no one on our staff knew about this until today. Windchime has been removed from Websleuths. Please understand we work strictly on a volunteer basis. We choose our moderators and administrators based on their performance on Websleuths. I will be talking with our lawyers to see about the legal aspect of requiring all Websleuths volunteers to submit to a full criminal background check to make sure this does not happen again. We do our best at Websleuths to offer you a comfortable place to post and to become involved all free of charge. We are not perfect however but we will continue to do our best. Seriously, I think places like that are really nothing more than feeding troughs for freaks to relive either their own crimes or immerse themselves in others..
What happened here with MASONIC PLOT pretty much put me off discussing any of that kinda shit in an open forum anymore.

What's left out of that thread is the fact that MP shared IP's with Et in Arcadia Eve.
Creepy, fucked up shit that has no possible good explanation. There's still a heaping wad of weirdness here that's yet to be unfucked if it ever will be, but..

its very strange, i read this board five days a week for years and i know nothing of this,
its one of the problems with a named thread system,
you see atitle which doesnt really interest you and have no idea that really iteresting or important discussions are taking place,
yesterday i visited the lounge for the first time ever and was stunned by all the interesting side stuff going on, i felt excited and dissapointed at the same time, |

I thought Eve turned out to be some zaftig paralegal from Florida? Anybody here recall MP ever showing their proverbial hand with regard to gender or location? From the sounds of it, I would guess MP would be located somewhere midwestern... just a guess...
I don't remember why exactly, but I have a connection in my own squishy neural spaghetti bowl between Eve and the sultry satanic "sexy maenads" that anonymously crapflooded the blog comments for a while causing Jeff to shut down anonymous posting again for a bit. Perhaps I'm recalling Jeff having mentioned in passing in a blog post that the crapflooders shared the same IP as the remote host for some email from Eve or something? There go those lazy psynapzes again... Jeff, any thoughts on these tendrils of a substantiative, corroborative or even Randian nature?

I suggest you backpedal to the first forum search listing for Theresa Duncan and start there.

MP gets my vote for "creepiest RI poster ever".
that doesn't do it justice really, you had to be there. Everything said by MP in the thread as you read it now was edited more than once. Sometimes the board doesn't even catch it and say it was edited. My edits go like this all the time. Seems to be if you do it fast enough. There was definitely something VERY weird in that thread.
(pretty sure a few of the trolls made it out alive too)
definitely top ten "creepiest RI threads ever".
i remember it fondly though, because i developed a sort of crush on c2w on about page 15, and followed her around the board hoping she would notice me...
ahem.

creeps crowd around these issues for kicks and giggles besides the occassional actual disinfomercial.
[anyone who makes investigating it into a game should be dealt with accordingly]
looking too closely and/or too publicly at some of this stuff will attract weird attentions from all sorts of avenues.

Websleuths had no choice but to go public.
Last year, WS owner Tricia Griffith went batshit and banned several dozen long-standing members who then went on to form their own rival boards and blogs. Unfortunately for "Windchime" she showed her (yes, the offender is a woman) face on a webcast of a media circus search for Caylee Anthony in Orlando and wound up on the local news and some folks went snooping.
One of WS disgruntled former members at Beaconhell outed her. (WARNING! Details are disturbing. linked docs in first comment.)
