marykmusic, that's an amazing, discouraging list of voting facts. I've been following this issue quite a bit, especially since the 2004 election, and was aware a lot of what's here, but seeing it in this concise listing is quite compelling. So many people seem unaware and/or in denial of these facts too -- especially those on the left who keep expecting that the Democrats will take back the House and/or Senate in 2006. I'm not nearly that optimistic about our voting system, not to mention that lots of Democrats are compromised anyway, but that's a different subject.
