Lane Evans, Dem Representative in the House, has announced his resignation, following his health taking a turn for the worse. Will there be someone appointed, or a special election? This will be a good chance to see what the Republicans come up with for a campaign; whether they break from Bush. --MaryK <p></p><i></i>

I'm not sure, mk, as I only live in a neighboring state, and the announcement was made today. It appears that the health concerns accelerated in the last month, and I'm guessing that Rep Evans had to make a fairly quick decision, balancing his concerns for his constituents and the deterioration in his health. A sad situation. <p></p><i></i>
