But this is so weird to me.

"We can now report, however, that we have additional, independent sources that refute those denials by Corallo and Luskin. veery interesting. see if rove is announced as indicted bush's polls will tank.

this isn't too wierd because CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN and FOX are all owned and operated by the big ol bad guys. instead all they can comment on is rove's supposed cheerfulness. to keep the tension up. i hope it breaks soon.
___________________________________________
"BUSHCO aren't incompetent...they are COMPLICIT."

a small update from wayne madsen:

May 19th: "Now Rove faces his "Segretti moment" in the CIA Leakgate affair. Rove learned well from his mentor Segretti. This morning, DC anxiously awaits a press advisory from the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) regarding a major development in the Rove case. Maybe they're saving the story for the "weekend".

I suggested about a year ago the case itself is a psy-op. Considering every other thread in places like DU are about 'fitzmas' or some stupid speculational nonsense, I'd have to attest to it's effectiveness.

As long as everyone thinks someone's going down soon, most won't act on their own.

my two cents...

To add my bit of speculation to the mix: I suspect that either a cat and mouse game of plea bargaining is still going on, or Fitzgerald's investigation is about to wrap up and tie all loose ends, and he is waiting until that moment to make an annoucnement of multiple indictments, including perhaps Cheney, and a recommendation to the House of impeaching Bush. This latter may admittedly be a bit wishful-thinking.

Since the partial apology is rather short, I thought I'd just post it here and save people the trip. If you want to read the comments, some of which are interesting, see the link a few posts above.

Quote:
The Rove Indictment Story as of Right Now
By Marc Ash,
Fri May 19th, 2006 at 04:23:39 PM EDT :: Fitzgerald Investigation

On Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2006, TruthOut ran a story titled, "Karl Rove Indicted on Charges of Perjury, Lying to Investigators." The story stated in part that top Bush aide Karl Rove had earlier that day been indicted on the charges set forth in the story's title.

The time has now come, however, to issue a partial apology to our readership for this story. While we paid very careful attention to the sourcing on this story, we erred in getting too far out in front of the news-cycle. In moving as quickly as we did, we caused more confusion than clarity. And that was a disservice to our readership and we regret it.

As such, we will be taking the wait-and-see approach for the time being. We will keep you posted.

This "apology" admits only two vague things.
They "erred in getting too far in front of the news-cycle" and they "caused more confusion than clarity."

Quite mysterious. My speculation would be the comments refer either to the fact an indictment was submitted to the Grand Jury by Fitzgerald, but Rove has not actually yet been indicted by the Grand Jury OR for some other reason Truthout has been burned for spilling some of the beans prematurely.
