Re: re: amusing? have you looked at a map recently?

i'm not quite sure what you mean by amusing.
But i dont think many people in the Sudan are amused at the moment as there were riots in the streets on the news that he had died.
And if you check your map you will notice that the sudan has some geo-political importance.
A peace treaty ending 21 years of civil war was only just concluded in january and Mr Garang was one of the signers.
The war was between the muslim north and the christian and animist south. (simplification ofcourse)
I thought some people might be interested in the fact that various news agencies reported that he had landed safely.
and that the link to the bbc story that he had landed safely was changed to a different story that he had died in a crash.
It is the first time i have seen a bbc story change yet the link stay the same,i have seen a new story with a different link correct a story before,or a link to disappear,or for the story to have a later correction that reflects new information, but this was new for me.

so sure this might not be of cosmic importance but its not always easy to judge what will become important beforehand. And as to if hes returned from the dead,if i see a story with that information i'll be sure to post it here

story on the riots and who Mr Garang was:

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4734517.stm

I'd like more, actually. These kind of posts were what I was originally looking for when I came onboard. Parapolitical collaborative research.

Hey, sometimes they may not prove to be anything at all (except a laugh), sometimes they might not mean something right now - or this decade ----- but ya never know. My experience says there is a lot of powerful stuff out there that just misses our "significance" radar and slips away.

If it wasn't for people with good intuition picking something up, sniffing it, saying "hmm, this smells fishy", and filing it away for later, we would be in the dark about a lot more than we are right now. And it's way too big a job for just one person.

Just look at the book Paul Thompson and his contributors managed to put together with seemingly insignificant news pieces. It's not be the be-all-and-end-all of 9/11 research, but it sure comes in handy trying to sort things out at this stage in the game.
