Thanks foer posting this.<br><br>I actually paid my respects to the memorial at the site of the Rabin assassination in Tel Aviv some years back, as he was a martyr for the cause of peace there and imho was killed by the Bush cabal aligned with the fascists in Israel.<br><br>The most interesting part of all this is the testimony that the shots which hit Rabin's spine would have immediately immobilized him (making his movements seen in the video impossible) and the testimony and video evidence that the alleged assassin had no powder burns and never fired at pointblank range - whereas the evidence shows that the shots were fired at point blank range and there were powder burns all over Rabin's jacket -<br><br>Like the Bobby Kennedy assassination it seems as if the alleged assassin was a dupe and was set up (with blanks) AND there is even an interesting aspect that the "amateur" videographer has disappeared, appeared only once on Israeli television right after the assassination , and that his video itself might be a setup to "prove" that the patsy did it. The real assassin was apparently in the vehicle Rabin was pushed into as the other guy was being taken down.<br><br>Also, The convicted assassin admits firing the shots but said he never was that close to Rabin and the video establishes that.<br><br>It is very interesting to me that this comes out at all in the conservative Israeli media --- but the point is that while the guy convicted did admit his role, he may have been set up too by powers much darker and deeper than the Israeli religious right. Peres even is implicitly implicated, but I think they are reaching.<br><br>As this debacle in Israel/Palestine is hugely at the heart of global insecurity and out of control fascism and global warfare, this seminal event deserves clse scrutiny from the left and from folks like us here at RI and PI and DU etc.<br><br>I do hope this gets passed along (I can't posdt at DU, but do hope someone will post it there).<br><br>Peace all.<br><br>Seventhson<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
