Weird thing about the Zapruder film...

Yes, Jackie went on a vacation with Onassis shortly before the assassination. You see, she also lost her fourth child shortly before the assassination. She lost one baby before Caroline, then had Caroline and John Jr. and then lost baby Patrick months before the assassination. She was very depressed and JFK encouraged her to go on the vacation to 'get away' from the White House. Jackie loved Jack...it is little known that she was suicidal after the assassination and had to be talked out of it by a priest who said her children needed her. Not that their's was a perfect marriage. But it also was not the charade the neoCons have made it out to be. There was genuine affection and respect between the two. Jack really appreciated the fact that his wife was an intellectual and spoke several languages, amongs other gifts. After Kennedy died. Jackie was the essence of dignity and understatement...she did not wallow or become maudlin like apparently Lincoln's wife did. She did make one comment that has rang through the decades....shortly after the shots were fired. Jackie cried out. They've killed my husband! That was one of the truest statements made about the assassination for years.

I'm not sure there's much to be gained from trying to analyze Jackie's behaviour during and after the assassination. She'd just seen her husband's head blown off. It's not surprising that her behaviour is going to seem odd or inappropriate. She deserves credit for being able to get through the day without collapsing or having a screaming fit.

I remember reading about this in the Last Circle by Carol Marshall c1994 (e-book) ******** I was becoming unresponsive to the game, so I presume Nichols decided it was time to "set the hook." It was not until two years later that I understood the significance of this incident. At one point during our conversation, and completely out of context with what we were discussing, Nichols played a video tape of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The southern wall of Nichols' apartment contained a sixfootwide screen on which I watched a blownup (enlarged), slow motion "uncut" version of the famous Zapruder film. I watched what appeared to be the standard media version of the film, seen so many times in film clips over the years, but then Nichols slowed the camera even more, and on the sixfoot screen, I observed the driver of the limousine turn to his right, first looking at Connolly, then at Kennedy. The driver's left hand came over his right shoulder, and he was holding a long barreled gun. Smoke and a bullet emerged from the gun, traveling ever so slowly across the screen into Kennedy's head, blowing brain tissue into the air as he fell back against the seat. Stunned, I watched Jacqueline Kennedy open her mouth in horror as she glanced at the driver, then try to climb over the back seat of the car. Littman and Zokosky and I stared at the scene in silence, unable to believe what we were seeing. Nichols then changed the tape and showed what he described as the "media" version of the Zapruder tape. In the media version, the driver continued to drive, unflinching, as the shots rang out. Then the scene switched to the back part of the limousine. At this point, Nichols stopped the frame and pointed with a stick at a tree in the background behind the limousine. From the middle of the tree to the ground, there was no trunk, just air. The top part of the tree was growing in air! I demanded that my husband be allowed to see the film. I felt I must have been hypnotized. When he arrived, he viewed both films up close, in slow motion, and saw the same thing. Nichols played both tapes backwards and forwards as often as we demanded, until the memory of it was burned forever into our minds. I wondered if the video had been tampered with. I asked Nichols where he had obtained the original "uncut" version? He would not say. I had no idea at that time that his F.I.D.C.O. partner, Clint Murchison, Jr.'s father had had instant access to the Zapruder film immediately after the assassination in Dallas, Texas. Nichols studied me for the longest time, then walked over to the window and lit a cigarette. He finally commented that the CIA can cover up anything it wants, even a president's murder. He wanted to show me the power of the Octopus. "Nothing is as it appears to be," he said. Somehow, that statement rang true. He then noted that he'd read my first book, the one I had sent him, then handed me a book entitled, "The Search for the Manchurian Candidate." He told me to read it, appraising me silently. Inwardly, I recalled a conversation with J.M., in which she related a conversation she'd had with Ted after a dinner engagement with Nichols. Nichols had reportedly stated to Ted that he headed a 200man assassination team. Jackie had been too frightened to elaborate on this conversation, but had pointed out that Nichols once worked in the MKUltra (Manchurian Candidate) program during the Vietnam war. This program was part of the "Phoenix Project." Interestingly, numerous publications had mentioned that Earl Brian had also participated in the Phoenix Project during the war. Nichols' sister was allegedly a professional hypnotherapist, and Nichols himself was reportedly trained in the art of hypnotism. According to Riconosciuto, they all called themselves "The Chosen Ones," wore skull and crossbones rings, and shared a common interest, if you could call it that, in the old German SS occultism, its tribal and inner circle rites. As I was preparing to leave, Nichols pointed his finger at me and reminded me of the agreement I had made with him through Littman. I asked him what agreement? He said the agreement that I would tell noone about this meeting. I again assured him that I would mention it to noone. He said I had better not or I would end up like the rest ... ****** Somehow, the success of the scheme had hinged upon Riconosciuto having knowledge of the meeting. I had unexpectedly kept my word to Nichols. Of course I had. My life depended on it. And, why had Nichols made a point of showing me the Zapruder film? What possible significance could that have on my investigation? (Two years later, after speaking with Dick Russell, author of "The Man Who Knew Too Much," a 17year investigation of the Kennedy assassination, and Garby Leon at Silver Pictures, we theorized that the film had been shown to provide Nichols with "deniability." Super 8 ordinarily runs 18 frames per second, although some of the more expensive cameras were able to operate at 24 fps. Even if we assume the faster frame rate, it's still going to take considerably less than 1/24 of a second for a bullet to travel from the front seat to the back seat of a car. A *long-barrelled gun?* Excuse me? You're going to kill the President of the United States, so you slow the car, reach back with your "long-barrelled-gun", and blow his brains out. If you can get that close to the President, there are countless opportunities to off the guy. I doubt you'd choose an open car in the middle of a public parade. It's an interesting theory; but not as interesting as the JFK "double" theory - it wasn't the real JFK who got killed at all. The real JFK was on a PanAm flight to South America under the alias Joe Karbo, wearing a fright wig and a false beard. He underwent plastic surgery in Beunos Aires and lives to this day on a private island in the Carribbean, where he set himself up with Marilyn Monroe, whose suicide was similarly faked. Monroe died in 1987. There ya go; already a more interesting theory than the "long-barrelled gun" theory, and it took me just a couple of minutes to invent it. I'm sure you could do better, too.

As a fairly serious amateur photographer, I've got enough photos under my belt to know that whatever is captured in a single sixtieth or one hundred twentyfifth of a second is not always the definitive version of the reality in front of it. Take a better look at the two photos from the Johnson swearing-in. In the first one, where LBJ is taking the oath, everyone's solemn. There's a change of atmosphere in the second one, at least for those in front of LBJ (those behind don't seem to have heard what he is saying, perhaps due to the noise of the engines). Carl Albert is grinning as LBJ turns to him, Ladybird is grinning, even the corner of Jackie's mouth seems to be starting to lift. Albert's eyes are deeply shadowed. To state that one of his eyes as seen in that photo is in the middle of a wink, finishing winking, or starting to wink, is just not possible from that picture. I haven't seen anything verified in connection with this supposed wink that would indicate what was being said at that particular moment. But to say there was winking going on is about as definitive and trustworthy a statement as satirist Paul Krassner saying that Jackie walked in on LBJ fucking JFK's bullet hole.

Whichever, no way it would pick up a moving bullet. Even if it was running at a higher frame rate for slow motion (which i don't believe it was... they did calculate the supposed exact frame rate apparently tho i can't remember exactly what it was) a normal std-8 camera still won't do a high enough shutter speed to see a bullet in motion, surely you need a super high speed camera for that kind of thing, like all those photos of apples + playing cards being shot etc. Sounds pretty unfeasible to me!!! Also not sure how they're supposed to have faked it convincingly as described in those pre-digital days, tho I guess something like that could be done via intensive frame by frame retouching, matting and optical printing? Avalon is right, of course. That wink picture I've always put in my "amusing" file in that there's simply no way to know if that guy is winking or about to sneeze, or whatever. However, it is a nice image as a symbol of what likely was going on that day. Unless you believe LBJ wasn't involved and was ignorant of all the machinations behind the scenes. Welcome to Tim. I doubt we'll see you here under your own name but anyway, I don't think you'll get a midnight knock from that one post.

It's not amusing to me if it's total bullshit. It got put in my "More Rense crap" file. If we let nonsense like this get by and people accept this without questioning it, sooner or later we find ourselves with it hanging around our neck while we try to point out some of the verifiable and far more important points that need to be understood.

George Bush has selective Altzheimer's regarding his where abouts of 11-22-1963. Barbara Bush stated he was in Tyler, TX. although he has "speculated" that he may have been in Port Au Prince, Haiti. FBI Special Agent, Graham Kitchell states that he received a call from George Bush on 11-22-1963, and that George Bush (and his voice) were very familiar to him at that time. The call was made to the Houston FBI office and apparently did not originate from Haiti.

Interesting. I'm trying to think what the motivation would be to have someone intentionally film the scene. IN other words, if it's part of the plan (and I didn't know about the Zapruder connections) what purpose does it serve. More knowledgeable folks I would ask, what is in the Zapruder film that might MISLEAD us? And secondly, why HAVE a film of the event if you need to edit the film to mislead? Why not have no film and then have less evidence that could backfire. And it would seem very difficult to PLAN a filming of the event that would both capture the actual scene AND be useful for covering up the truth. They would have to have it planned out so thoroughly that they'd be able to say, "Have Zap film it and then we can edit out a few frames to hide the truth." Seems that would be kinda tough to do. Or maybe it was the reverse, the film was for internal consumption only (identify witnesses, etc) and they realized it might be useful if released? But, again, to what end? What truth does the film obscure?
