Weird thing about the Zapruder film...

I watched it with my girlfriend last year, the official DVD or whatever, and for the hell of it I said let's pretend that Jackie O had a gun. I was only joking, trying to think of the most unlikely suspect. However, when we watched it in slo mo, again and again, we were really creeped out, because her indifferent behavior when JFK is first struck post-wave, and the position and movement of her arm during that first shot and the head shot, and the apparent path of the bullet slashing through the top of his head from the back left to the front right... It was almost too weird to contemplate. If she had been brainwashed to assassinate him... How perfect would that be? Anyway, if you ever entertained the notion of Greer shooting...try entertaining the notion of Jackie O, Manchurian Candidate.

Also that driver scene. I have looked at some poor MPGs but even though the driver does turn around I failed to see his gun due to the poor resolution and haven't been able to find clear pictures of that part. Well the freaky part is that she spend the rest of the day next to her husband's killer - Lyndon - and afterwards never made a real fuss about the immediate coverup. So there is something about Jackie. It is strange that she never used her prominent position to push for a detailed investigation. Maybe it was fear, but I don't know. Anyway I doubt whether she had a gun, but somehow her overall reaction is strange...

Greer didn't have a gun, it's just the other guy's shiny-ass head. But Greer surely turned around and braked just before the fatal shot. Gun or not, he's an accomplice to JFK's murder.

Witnesses from different positions (not just SS) testified to her climbing on the hood, and retrieving the large portion of Kennedy's head that had deposited there. Reliable (pro-conspiracy) voices around the women and the presidential entourage, testify to her obvious distress at Parkland and later. Pictures aboard AF1 show her quite upset. Her delay in reacting to the first wound is entirely understandable to someone who's seen someone shot. But your comment does show how the seminal character of that film will continue to effect people for years to come.

Jackie O having a gun was the last thing on my mind in the hundreds and hundreds of times since I was 10 that I studied the Zapruder film. After the head shot, if she had a gun, she easily could have dropped it behind him. Even in this outlandish scenario, there would be multiple shooters. Maybe Jackie O Manchurian Candidate was the final failsafe? Note: I'm not proposing her as a serious suspect. Think of her like you'd think of Greer, a novelty suspect.

I think her reaction to the first shot was bizarre. Her husband is clutching his throat probably gasping with a pained look on his face, and she just stares blankly at him for what seems like an eternity, before finally leaning over to ask what's wrong - instead of, you know, freaking out and trying to shield him, push him down, or something. Whether she had heard a shot or not, her husband was in distress, and she just stared.

Fearless, you should have posted the other pic...the "wink" pic where that guy in the background appears to be winking at LBJ. I've never seen a real clear print. Here it is, though. <img src="http://www.umsl.edu/~skthoma/wink.jpg" style="border:0;"/> Be careful with Zapruder film. Remember, in slow mo, her "non-reaction" would appear to last much longer. It takes a bit to react to something startling...it's not instantaneous.

I had someone shot 5 times next to me, and we weren't able to process it until many minutes later. And that's with seeing the gunman pointing the gun and firing.

I met the Kennedy clan in 1958..shook hands with all..maybe parents too//cannot remember I am catholic and lived my life in Masacusetts til recently..Have many summers on cape cod and also heard JFK speak in 11/1960 ..days before the election..I have this very deep psychic bond with their family even though they do NOT even know me..WHO Benifitted from his death..??Jackie did become a billionaire and maybe she was brainwashed.. Trauma is not an instant reaction and we all may react differently to instant death..lots of research supports that with PTSD studies on war and sexual trauma. the larger issue is who paid the killers and who benefitted politically.???.I see the rise of family bush and the descent of family kennedy..both having a nazi connection BUT prescott bush was investigated by Congress in 1942 for dealing with the enemy in war time and war profiteering.. NO the kenendys are not saints but many of their sons have been killled under mysterious circumstances... Joe jr WW II , JFK ,BK ,JFK jr ,son of TK, son of BK ect.. Chappiquidick in 1969 may have been an attempted hit on TK which resulted in the death of his intern..TOO MANY UNASWERED QUESTONS..while family bush eatys cavier and laffs at the next country to feel their wrath..which eventually will be the USA

Not sure if this was in Farewell America or another source, maybe more mainstream... But wasn't Jackie with Aristotle about a month before the assassination? I think she went on a month-long Mediterranean cruise with Onassis.

Do any unedited versions of the film exist? I haven't seen any. Witnesses report the car came to an almost complete stop but in all the films I've seen, this stoppage does not occur.
