JFK's Biggest Secret Revealed

Postby pepsified thinker » Thu Oct 19, 2006 5:39 pm

I'm not well-read on JFK's assassination, so maybe this is old news, but it connected some of the 'dots' that I do know, in new ways.

For example:

Quote:
The US government has finally made available to the public the biggest secret of JFK's presidency: In November 1963, JFK was secretly working with the #3 official in Cuba -- Commander Juan Almeida, head of the Cuban Army -- to stage a "palace coup" against Fidel Castro.

(snip)

Quote:
The JFK-Almeida coup failed because it was infiltrated by three Mafia bosses targeted for prosecution by Attorney General Robert Kennedy (who played the leading role in managing the coup plan for his brother). The Mafia chiefs -- banned by the Kennedys from the coup plan, and from reopening their casinos in Cuba -- infiltrated the CIA's portion of the coup plan, and used parts of it to kill JFK in Dallas. This forced key US officials -- RFK, LBJ, and J. Edgar Hoover -- into a cover-up to protect Almeida and prevent a possible nuclear confrontation with the Soviets, a cover-up which continued for deca

Quote:
US military and CIA veterans of the JFK-Almeida coup plan began a new outreach to high Cuban military officials in the mid-1990s. While those in the US military seemed sincere, this outreach would also allow the CIA to claim the 1963 files couldn't be released because the same people were still involved in the same type of active, ongoing operation.

There thrust of the article is that the Almeida-centered coup plan was the basis for withholding a great deal of information about the JFK assassination and that those involved in doing so have continued to be central figures in subsequent 'sensitive' scandal/etc. such as Watergate, Iran-Contra, and so on.

It struck me as a bit of a jumbled presentation, but that could be 'just me'. Secret Revealed

Postby km artlu » Thu Oct 19, 2006 7:23 pm

There was a video on the shelves a few years back titled, I think, "The Men Who Killed Kennedy". This is the same premise as that video, which really stood out for me among the jungle of theories and minutia. Well presented and credible.

I recall a moment of high human tragedy in the memories of a man, in that video, who had been with RFK as, or shortly after, he got the news of his brother's death. The horror of realizing that the team which he'd been central in setting up (The '64 elections were also a factor) had been turned against them.

Malcolm X "...the chickens came home to roost."

JFK Hit

Postby heyjt » Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:12 pm

I really like Thom Hartmann, but I have been thinking his version of the JFK hit may be oversimplified or giving too much creedence that "The mafia did it".

This article spells it out better, but one can not deny that the National Security State was involved up to the eyeballs in the cover-up.
The cover-up is always as bad as the crime.

I would like to see this article and book reviewed by JFK experts such as John Judge, Jim Marrs and Peter Dale Scott. Anybody seen any reviews?

Looks like disinfo to me.

There is evidence of enabling the JFK hit at the highest levels of the US security apparatus. Like 'security stripping,' standing down normal security arrangements.

Look at the bottom of this HSCA report -

history-matters.com/archi..._0107b.htm

Quote:
The Department of Defense, however, reported that a search of its files showed "no records *** indicating any Department of Defense Protective Services in Dallas. (31)
The committee was unable to resolve the contradiction.

(4) Conclusion -- Based on its entire investigation, the committee found no evidence of Secret Service complicity in the assassination.

This documentary originally aired on the BBC. It's available on dvd...

www.amazon.com/Men-Who-Ki...B00005UW74

and has footage of everyone's favorite footwear expert Robert J. Groden. That said, the documentary (imho) is quite comprehensive and detailed. One of the last episodes (it aired as a five part series) really helps tie things together. Its been a while since I've seen the documentary though...

Edited by: thrulookingglass at: 10/20/06 9:23 am
