Fascinating discussion!

Postby banned » Thu Nov 03, 2005 11:36 pm

I need to print it out and read all of it!

Some of the responses are clearly the gnostic point of view (archons)--which also reminds me of "Out of the Silent Planet" and the rest of the Perelandra trilogy by C. S. Lewis.

I tend to think, IF there is life after death, which I'm officially agnostic on but having seen a ghost I'm leaning toward believing there is, I don't see any reason why people who were evil in this life would change just because they got dematerialized .

I used to believe that evil was something that originated in the human mind and heart, and that all the 'supernatural' stuff was fantasy, like Disney, but I've had some things happen that I simply can't explain without resorting to some kind of supernatural power.

This pisses me off, because I preferred to believe that human life was just a chemical oopsy-poopsy on one of a zillion balls of rock in a universe that had no reason to be here, or not to be here, it just was and we needed to stop worrying how it got here and start worrying about what we were doing in our infinitesimally brief moment of being between non-being and non-being.

It pisses me off because just as I resent being a pawn in the plans of human politicos, I REALLY resent being a pawn in the plans of some non-human superhuman big shot. I never wanted to go to heaven or hell, if given a choice I wanted to spend my eternity in the Greek Islands with an unending stack of good books and a harem of hot horny young Greek men.

Yes, I know, lacks spiritual gravitas. (there are those amongst us who believe that Mr. Lewis, along with the rest of his "band" were all covert gnostics, having as they did, direct access to gnostic ideas via the university long before anyone else did, coupled with his refusal to "name" his brand of christianity...)

Sez:

"I never wanted to go to heaven or hell, if given a choice I wanted to spend my eternity in the Greek Islands with an unending stack of good books and a harem of hot horny young Greek men"

Oddly, this is not entirely unlike how I would spend eternity. Read the Bible and everything will make more sense.
To connect this with actual fight between good and evil u can go to www.conspiracyarchiv.com(paranormal section, excellent place for debunking UFOs and proving them to be demonic in origin). Also www.mt.net/~watcher/ is very good site
Hope this helps clearing some question about evil/ET/occult
PS Probably many of u already visited these, but it won't hurt to mention them

Good and Evil

Postby robertdreed » Fri Nov 04, 2005 4:27 pm

I think godd and evil only come into play in the presence of intentional consciousness. That is, a mountain lion that disembowels and eats a little girl walking on a hiking trail isn't evil.

Someone like Ted Bundy, who intentionally picked women he found particularly sexually attractive, duped them with a ruse into helping him, smashed their skulls with a pipe, abducted them, sexually molested their unconscious bodies and corpses, disposed of their bodies to conceal his cats, and then went off to work at a suicide hotline next to a famous true crime writer without ever dropping that mask and providing a clue of his murders- that is evil.

I advocate reading the bible too. Just not to acquire information. I suggest it to understand the propoganda techniques of the controllers. The bible is a forged document.

Bible is not forged...It is scientific fact

Postby ivanbo2003 » Fri Nov 04, 2005 11:22 pm

Just my 2 cents...
Sorry Homeless if u think that...Give The Bible a chance and i think if u read it carefully, you'll see what i mean.At least read Genesis and comparison(online) with the New Testament. So many things are happening before our very eyes.Only a few men literally saw God the Son(the ones who met Jesus Christ),only one saw God the Father(Enoch met him when God "took" him away in whirlwind) and all the believing are protected by The Holy Spirit.Anyway,we'll all see the our own Judgement one day before Godhead.
My point is that nothing is happening by mere chance. It is all arranged by One Will.
U may choose to be the atheist(or whatever),your choice.But first,try
to be 100% sure that u r right about this matter.
Because:if there is no God(and you are a believer),no biggie;
If there is God ,and u had your whole life to find Him,and Judgement arrives...terrible mistake, the loss of eternal life, isn't it.So :No biggie VS Terrible mistake
I repeat,just my oppinion.
Cheers

PS Of course I put it simply like this to show u to what is this comming down.Need not to say that I firmly know that there is God and i believe in Him,though i am a sinner...like everyone else...

It's my party...and this thread isn't for arguing about...

Postby banned » Sat Nov 05, 2005 12:01 am

...the validity of the Bible or Jesus or any particular "organized" religion especially the 3 major monotheisms.

If you want to gas about that make your own thread. I'm sick of the Jesus Christer propaganda. If I ruled the world I'd ban organized religions and execute anybody caught proselytizing any of them, but hey, that's just me.

I once won an award in biblical studies from my fundamentalist high school, and I own the bible in several versions, both in english and otherwise.
Of course, I'm not sure you're "Real". You don't use complete words, much less sentences, so I am naturally biased against you. Sorry.

Oh, and I'm not 100% sure of anything, but I'm 99.99% sure that if GOD exists, he isn't the genocidal, bestial creature depicted in the judeo-christian religion.

-------
Continue your bible studies, but supplement them.
I suggest for you, my friend:

Remedial Christianity: What Every Believer Should Know About the Faith, but Probably Doesn't by Paul Alan Laughlin , Glenna S. Personally, I lean towards (a)gnosticism on most theological/philosophical pseudo-issues.

Name a religion, and I can devise an attack against it.

I have a copy here with me. Somewhere....

(I own entirely too many books. If my home ever caught on fire, it'd burn in seconds and I'd be out many thousands of dollars)

Insofar as Christers go, I personally find Christ himself to be a fairly swell fellow, assuming he existed, of course. What I don't get is all the weird shit people seem to think he'd like them to do, or the very odd methodology "christianity" has for interpreting what are, essentially Jewish, modes of thinking. I'd love to go snowboarding with Jesus. I bet he was a pretty rugged fellow, what with fasting in the wilderness and all.

Shame about his minions though.

Uncle Al: "TO THE LIONS WITH THEM!"

Which is maybe a little too harsh, really. After all, we wouldn't want the lions to come down with something.

And I'm sure he'd consign 90% of the people throughout history who claimed to be his followers to the fires of Gehenna because they were too damn busy minding other peoples' business and not following his precepts in their own lives.

Now can we get back to what was an interesting discussion before someone said that thread killing word...BIBLE? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">
