Jesus, the Essene

I don't know if you have read or know anything about this subject, but a new book just appeared over at sacred-texts.com...I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Any thoughts on this subject?

I really enjoyed the books I've read on the subject. But it's been a long time, and I only remember the gist.

According to my memory, the essenes had a leader or teacher figure who suspiciously resembles Jesus.

And Jesus may not have been such a pacifist, i.e. "sell your cloaks and buy daggers" (no Christian I've ever mentioned that verse to has ever heard of it).

I used to read a lot about the "historical" Jesus, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.

It's interesting stuff, and I hope someone can say more interesting things about it than I just did.
