Pope Prophecy

Looks like St. Malachy was right (although the Catholic Church says his prophetic letters are forgeries).

Speaking about Pope Benedict (published before there was such a pope), this website says:

Quote:
"John Paul II s successor is called " Gloria Olivae," or "glory of the olive. "traditionally, the olive branch has been associated with peace, but in both the Old and New Testaments it also serves as an emblem for the Jews. Putting the two together, some commentators believe that the reign of this pope will be a peaceful one during which the prophesied conversion of the Jews will take place."

<a href="http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache 9FceNe9NjgJ:www.dayofgod.net/Malachy/malachy.htm+pope+malachy&hl=en">66.102.7.104/search?q=cac...achy&hl=en

From today's news:

(CNN) -- Pope Benedict XVI, visiting a synagogue in Germany, has warned of a rising wave of anti-Semitism.

As we all know, this Pope was a member of the Hitler Youth. What strange bedfellows!

According to the St. Malachy prophecies, there will be only one more pope after the current one, at which time Rome will be destroyed and judgment will come. Interestingly, in 1909, Pope Pius X had a strange vision of a pope stepping over the bodies of dead priests while leaving Rome.
Quote:

" In 1909, while granting an audience, pope Pius X leaned back and closed his eyes. Suddenly he "awoke" and cried out: "What I see is terrifying. Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the pope will quit Rome, and in leaving the Vatican, he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests."

(from same link as above).

The young Ratzinger, like all children his age had no choice in being "Hitler youth". In many cases he exactly fits Saint Pope Pius X 's Syllubus of Errors as an anathama. B16, and a few before him fulfill many amazing prophecies, far more richly then the oft-quoted St. Malachy. But the hitler youth thing is just a dud, thrown out for the effect that the word nazi has on most of us, and a lot of us fall for it. Whose heart fails to wince with pain at the word nazi, no matter how many times we hear it? B16 may be gravely in error, according to St. Robert Bellarmine(he of the documented floating in air as he said the Mass, a Doctor of the Chuch, only a handful of these) points to even de-fact excommunication by even a pope. But really, every kid of a certain age had to sign up. But that fact, does make me wonder, what long-term effects would the occultic nazi thingie have on someone? Would it be kinda like a curse? You're definitely onto an to an interesting topic, Col. Although the letters have not been proven forgeries, it is the last one after JP2, Eclipse of the Sun which is in question. The really ancient prophecies of saints are absolutely riviting when compared to world events!

Some went to death

Sure he joined the Hitler youth because it was mandatory but many went to death in the camps. There were courageous people of true belief, such as Dedrick Bonhoeffer who didn't give in and perished. CHristian martyrs all stood up for their values and died instead of caving.

How many human beings have what it takes to consider moral questions in their teenage years, much less to decide to undergo certain martyrdom rather than acquiesce? Bear in mind that the genocidal depths of the Nazi regime weren't known to most Germans- to most anybody- during the time of Hitler's reign. It was an incremental process.

Look around at the state of the USA today...how many Americans, even in the anti-Bush opposition, are open to the idea that the people running the country may be capable of purposefully orchestrating unconscionable horror?

To be fair, B16 does say that his father was opposed to Nazism and was demoted from jobs because of his beliefs. It's true that membership was required after 1936.

He was 14 when he joined up. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Being Pope...

If you are Pope you are supposed to be the closest being to God on earth. That means that you should be held to a higher standard than us mortals. What you or I would have done should be a standard that would keep you from being Pope. I would have gone and joined up. I'm just saying - the man who becomes Pope should be better.

I also know the history of the job and know that it has been more political than Godly. Just saying I would have respect for the man if he had shown real courage.

newbie pope gives much pause for concern

John Paul II is rumoured to have been selling death camp gas..rumor..personally I liked John Paul II .

BUT hierarchy in Rome does not repesent me B 4 the Creator

God is a personal relationship based on your understanding of what God means to you.

I always thought prophecy was very subjective and served as a warning for humanity to change its ways BUT it sems that the busheviks are marhcing humanity into a WW III scenario and thus trying to force their version of the armageedon upon us all

BTW highly unlikely that the Jews will convert under most circumstances.. and the evangelistas think that after the Armageddon which they helped create... they get to convert the Jews...of course when/if HELL breaks lose..the evangies will be raptured to Heaven while the rest of us get hell on earth..neat work if ya can get it..
