I just finished reading a book by the great German AntiNazi writer Lion Feuchtwanger called "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" which is a historical novel about Jan Eric Hanussen, Hitler's Occultist/Astrologer who "predicted" the Reichstag Fire.

I found this quote on a google search (translated = so it is a little rough around the edges) which alludes to orgies and his sexual prosess and the diappearances of young men.

This was in 1932-3.

Thought you guys and Jeff, espceially, should check it out.

Lion Feuchtwanger was Hitler's Public Enemy # 1 whose books were burned in 1933 and whose citizenship was revoked , with a deatrh sentence hanging over his head. He escaped to the US in the same network which rescued many antiNazi activists, artists and writers - along with the author Konrad Heiden whom I refer to often (author of "Der Fuehrer" and "A History of national Socialism", indispensible knowledge if one is to understand the BFEE today). These guys understood Hitler and the Nazis. And if they were alive today would understand EXACTLY what the BFEE is doing and what 9-11 (OUR Reciuhstag Fire) was all about

"Jan Eric Hanussen, the magician of the green gloves, is one of the strangest personages of the first times of German nazism. Of sallow face, very prominent and ugly belly, of its personality emanated a tenebrous enchantment that united to its outlandish sexual conduct took to him to be the maximum triunfador in the nocturnal life of Berlin of beginnings of the Thirties. It directed the second part of the spectacle of the Scala of the German capital, and their exhibitions paranormal constituted a rooted subject of the controversies of the time. Surrounded in dawn of mystery, said that it had begun like tragador of sabers between saltimbanquis, that in the Prague had a consultation like vidente, that was an unconditional Nazi and, in addition, the particular astrologer of Hitler. Which, although the dictator not yet had arrived at the power, he provided a protection that allowed him to be safe from frights in the middle of the homosexuals and proxenetas to him in which one developed.

In its exhibitions of videncia in the Scala, it obtained all the nights a tremendous triumph. Their exercises of double vision, with the collaboration of any spectator, caused the admiration of all; he guessed what a certain horseman took in his pocket or the loving disappointment that had been one lady ten years old back, needing with rigor until the minimum detail. Seated in his high chair, with the light of the projectors capably arranged so that he aureoled the head to him, after minutes of concentration, one sank in mediúmnico critical moment and, with difficult voice, he expressed until the most secret thoughts of the spectator or spectator who lent themselves to the experience.

Defying the spectator to that it discovered the nonexistent tricks of his work, Hanussen began its true performance once fallen the drop curtain. Without taking off the maquillaje, it jumped to his sumptuous black Mercedes-Benz to the steering wheel of which it waited for his assistant to him, the Lebanese Ismet Dzino. Of the theater they were transferred to its residence, a beautiful villa in the Lietzenburgerstrasse. It is there, in that discreet place - it says Wemer to us Gerson- where Hanussen resumed, every night, its true existence.

Its number in the Scala was not more than a cover. In his Palace of the Hanussen Occultism it received only to chosen clients and, to price of gold, it established his horóscopos and it taught to his followers to develop the powers paranormal. One makes sure that Hanussen was the Rasputín germanic and that the hidden sessions finished in tenebrous orgías...

Gerson affirmed that, at this time, disappearances of adolescents were denounced who never were found. The certain thing, continues Gerson, is that Hanussen organized orgías ritual being based on sexual magic; as the téntricos of the "left route" practice in India. Maithenia belonged he himself to the called union , that it intended to arrive until the sexual paroxysm, to wake up kundalini, and the latent supranormal faculties. These ultrasecret sessions attracted the sanctuary to women originating of the level town as of the aristocracy as much.

Ewers novelist and count Helldorf, the head in Berlin of the brown shirts, supported it by different economic reasons. The increasing enthusiasm of several members of the Nazi party by the hierofante irritated powerfully to Goebbels was seen prattling of fair turned is an influential subject. The future minister of the propaganda, along with Heydrich, was in charge, without doubting a moment, to make a blackmail to the assistant of the magician and to prepare a complete one to dossier on the origin and the true personality of Hanussen. Having a feeling the play, Hanussen hurried to publish its autobiography "My line of life" which both forced future ministers of the Reich to walk with lead feet and to postpone the moment for making fail the pernicious influence of the magician.

Hanussen was called Hermann Steinchneider in fact and was son of a Jewish retailer of Bohemia. His occupation, after the 1918 defeat, consisted of identifying tombs of soldiers German, unearthing their rest and, by means of an allowance, to send them to their families. Magician boasted of that this office, was the one that had given all to its hidden power and its sexual vigor him, that allowed him, being in the peak satisfying to three spouses and thirty lovers.

I will be back with a link. But google Hanussen and translate some stuff and learn more. Werner Herzog did a film about him called "The Illusionist" in the 1990's. Sme character

Hanussen

Hanussen was an excelllent mentalist (mind-reader) and hypnotist, using tricks from the mentalist's toolbox to convince his audiences of his powers.

The Herzog films is excellent. There's also a very good book about the man: "Hanussen: Hitler's Jewish Clairvoyant."

The Herzog film is called "Invincible," not "The Illusionist," by the way. Another film is simply titled "Hanussen." Both are quite good.

So hence their appears to be another direct network link from the BFEE to Nazi-occultism and RA.

Most of the links I found on this were not in English, and I do not know the reliability of this one in particular --- but when I read it I felt it was a story worthy of this board and good knowledge for the RA/MC people to know about.

Having read quite a bit of Lion Feuchtwanger, Hitler's premier enemy in Germany in the eartly 1930's due to his antiNazi novel, the Opperman's, forecasting the concentration camps and murderous operations galore, his perspective is exceptionally valuable.

You have to be a damn fine antiNazi to be considered Hitler's public enemy number one as far back as 1932 or 33.

The book, by the way, is worth the read as is the Opperman's and "The Devil in France" as well as his story of Josephus and "Simone", about a Joan of Arc-like teenage girl in France who becomes an antiNazi saboteur - originally cowritten with Bertolt Brecht until they fell out over a plot /character issue and they both did their own versions, one a novel, the other a play.

Anyway, being the obscurist on these matters of Nazi history and antiNazi heroes, this is something I believe folks should at least be aware of. We are not the first to go this route or tread these paths of opposition to the Fourth Reich.

Re: the film, Professor, you are correct --- I misremembered the title. Tim Roth, a vbery fine actor, plays Hanussen in one of these films.
