Many not professing any religious affiliation are also busy with doom and gloom scenarios; this cannot be denied. Just look at this board.
But as an example of the disconnect between religious teaching and what the bible actually says:

Ecclesiastes 1:4 :
"A generation is going and a generation is coming, but the earth is standing even to time indefinite."
Nor really compatible with rapture doctrine, is it? Would God really only populate his creation with the wicked who are left over after everyone else is gone? That is what that particular doctrine postulates. Read those "Left Behind" books, if you dare. Therefore, the earth is not going to "end" in the contemporary meaning of the word, only the wicked system, which should be good news to everyone.
Proverbs 10:30 :
"As for the righteous one, he will not be caused to stagger, but as for the wicked ones, they will not keep residing on the earth."
I could go on and on, but I really hadn't meant to preach here, just maybe get others to understand that
God Himself
is opposed to what is going on in His name.

As for M***** Theresa (can't bring myself to call her that) I have never, nor would I ever, defend her, but I feel no need to personally attack her.
