someone brought up in my illuminati thread the freemasons mixing the monotheistic religions with paganism, and how it fit in with the 'cabbalistic tree of life'. it reminded of something i heard on the radio in regards to how satanists did the same thing. you never know

Take It Easy?

Postby Floyd Smoots » Mon Mar 06, 2006 11:23 pm

ma, and thumpie, ease up on yourselves. It's you-know-who's universe, and it's y-k-w's "master" plan. Remember the last chapter of our favorite "novel". They lose. We WIN!

Think about it, dear fellow freedom-fighters.

As an atheist, it seems fairly normal to me. A handful of things that humans do over and over again are apparent:

- Denigration of the "Other"
Mixing in elements of the opposing theology is like fox having colmes on with hannity. It's a straw man, an effigy to be destroyed to bring the group together.

- Look, we got that too
Religions constantly grab elements of other religions and incorporate them into themselves. Most often this is the case when a ruling power is trying to impose its religion on a conquered populace, as the pagan rituals got sucked up and collated with christian rites when Rome conquered everybody.

- Simple contrast
Satanism is built on opposing god. How could it exist without god? If god is real, then the things held sacred by his followers must be sacred, so must be destroyed. If they can't be destroyed they must be taken over. If neither of those can happen your religion doesn't work, so you can bet one of those is gonna happen.

Edited by: DireStrike at: 3/6/06 8:39 pm

Denigration of the "Other" - Absolute Truth At Las

Postby Floyd Smoots » Mon Mar 06, 2006 11:50 pm

Dire Strike, strictly from the X-ian point of view, what you posted about "Denigration of the 'Other'" is true, and began in the Garden of Eden, when the Serpent said to Eve, "God lied to you. He just doesn't want you to eat the fruit of the tree of 'The Knowledge Between Good and Evil', because, if you do, you will be just like Him. He doesn't want you to know 'what He knows'." So, no arguement from me about your posit.

Live long & prosper,
Sunday school teacher Floyd

if satan existed
and god existed
and god created everything
and everything is one with god
then god=satan

seems simple enough to me.

shawshank's got a revised version of an old problem. If god is good and omnipotent, why does he allow evil?

A question not easily answered. But I've discussed it many times and don't feel like doing it again right now. But feel free to knock yourselves out!
