New Documents Contradict Army Report Denying Systemic Failures in Treatment of Detainees<br><br><!--EZCODE LINK START--><a href="http://www.aclu.org/International/International.cfm?ID=19088&c=36" target="top">www.aclu.org/International/International.cfm?ID=19088&c=36</a><!--EZCODE LINK END--><br><br>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<br><!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Troops Say They Used Techniques "Remembered From the Movies"; Deaths Could Have Been Avoided with Better Training</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--><br><br>NEW YORK - The American Civil Liberties Union today made public more than 1,800 pages documenting the investigation into at least three military units' detainee operations in Iraq. <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Among the documents were reports of untrained soldiers using interrogation techniques they "remembered from the movies," </strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END-->as well as reports of deaths that could have been prevented with proper training.<br><br>-snip- The documents released today were interviews of military personnel from the 4th Infantry Division, the 720th Military Police Battalion and the 1st Infantry Division which served in Iraq. There was a comment on another thread to the effect that the rest of the world's governments, their intelligence agencies, their political establishments, ALL kmow that 9/11 was an inside job.<br>They go along with the hegemon to avoid being nuked.<br>I'm afraid the same is true of Abu Ghraib. Everybody knows it was designed to happen, that Condi took a special interest. They all know about that numbskull that was blogging direct from the torture cells.<br>This is news ONLY within the US.<br>And yes it is unravelling. But too late.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
