how did he get custody?
Know nothing of this case but know of manycases where paedophile ex husband has got custody. brief overview is that the man usually has much more material resources and sounds far more reasonable than his wife whose protestations that he is molesting the child are taken to be malicious in the context of separation/divorce proceedings.paedophiles are frequently organised and have well worked out formula for getting the social services on their side, including having
a psych in tow to 'prove' the mother suffering from a delusionary state such as Munchausens by proxy, threatening the woman's legal team and so on. Social services and police are reluctant to admit mistakes even when they finally wake up to them, because they know that there will be expensive damages claims against them, so sidelining the mother and child is the usual solution. Most of the cases I am overviewing here are UK based but one involves USA perpetrators (frequently the wealth of the father is based on the fact that he prostitutes out his child). I think that paedophiles must exchange information on how to do this successfully. The impression is that they marry in order to get access to children. Some of these children have had to wait until their majority before finding again the mother who tried to defend them against a system which defends paedophiles. the secrecy of 'family court' hearings works against the interest of child and mother because quite scandalous things can go on under wraps, such as 'finding of fact' that alleged abuse did not take place; leaving the mum unable to challenge or talk about it, and the child stuck with denied memories and in the hands of abusers.
