Just received by email from GSFP....<br><br>Camp Casey Easter<br>April 13th-16th 2006<br>Crawford Texas<br><br>Once again the President will be home for the holidays. We as Gold Star Families for Peace have had our holidays forever tarnished by George Bush's' reckless policy of occupying Iraq. We will be returning to Camp Casey for our Easter holiday and we invite you to join us. Everyone is welcomed. <br><br>It is important that we let George Bush know that his war and policies are unacceptable. Because of his free speech zones this is about as close as anyone who disagrees with him can get. Imagine thousands of us at his backdoor showing him the error of his ways. <br><br>Also joining us at Camp will be Hurricane Katrina survivors through the <br>Common Ground Collective. Many of whom are still displaced from their homes due to the incompetence and indifference of the Bush administration. <br><br>Events<br><br>* Daily music and speakers. Also daily protests and vigils at the checkpoints to the ranch. The March to Redeem the Soul of America will be joining Camp Casey on the 14th. <br><br>* Speakers will include along with Cindy, members of Gold Star Families for Peace, Iraq Veterans against the War, Military Families Speak Out and Veterans for Peace. Once again former member of the U.S. Diplomatic corp. and Army Colonel (ret) Ann Wright will be our Camp Commander and emcee.<br><br>Open mic time is always available for anyone wishing to participate in either speaking events or performances.<br><br>Events are still being planned so check the Crawford Peace House Website or the Gold Star Families for Peace website for updates.<br><br>Accommodation:<br><br>Everyone is welcomed to Camp at Camp Casey II. Space is limited and some may need to camp at either the Crawford Peace house or Tonkawa Falls. <br>Hotels are available in close by McGreggor or Waco.<br><br>Travel: <br><br>Dallas Ft. Worth and Austin Airports both have commuter flights into Waco which is about ½ hour from Crawford.
