Doesn't take much to get under the feathers of the Pentagon. Jeez, we get a piece of the tentacle of "the octopus" and man does it ever squirm! Here's the corporate news link from AP regarding... <snip> (AP) An officer who has claimed that a classified military unit identified four Sept. 11 hijackers before the 2001 attacks is facing Pentagon accusations of breaking numerous rules, allegations his lawyer suggests are aimed at undermining his credibility. The alleged infractions by Army Lt. Col. Oh my god... stealing pens?!? bwahahahaha. Further confirmation that there is something to the Able Danger story. Qutb means "axis," "pole," "the center," which contains the periphery or is present in it. The qutb is a spiritual being, or function, which can reside in a human being or several human beings or a moment. It is the elusive mystery of how the divine gets delegated into the manifest world and obviously cannot be defined.

is that in addition to all those nefarious actions, this monster of a man was often known to, of all things, cross the street in places clearly outside of the properly-marked crosswalks, all while failing to look left-right-and-then-right again. Seriously, angles I've heard: i) able danger turns up republicans selling shit to china ii) it took place under clinton's watch, ergo the dems. must protect iii) it was illegal anyways, as gathering data on us citizens is verboten for the pentagon....unless you believe the illegal data was IMMEDIATELY discarded any wonder why it's getting shot down so uniformly?

Glub - the spin I'm detecting is that AD was probably illegal, but the fact that it did identify some terrorists proves that it's useful to have data-mining programs like Total Information Awareness, and 9/11 would have been stopped if it weren't for those silly civil rights etc. That's how they are going to spin this, and already are. The fact that AD was shut down on instruction from the WH shortly after BushCo took office, raises two important questions: 1) Why did they do that, and 2) Why the hell didn't the Clinton administration shut down an illegal programme? It's a good example & illustration of how such sinister conspiracies can remain secret for so long. If you are privy to secrets -- even just the heavily compartmentalized secrets -- you are being very carefully watched, and you have been watched for years or even decades before the particular secret you encounter during the course of your work. And if you are compelled by morals to expose your little secret in hopes of encouraging other whistleblowers to expose *their* secrets, all in hopes of breaking down the false reality and making the evildoers pay for their crimes, you will instead learn that the file is thick. The charges against this man are ridiculous, trivial, and in one case simply invented -- that would be the questioning of a medal he was awarded, with absolutely no evidence offered as to why there is something unseemly. It's a talking point created and distributed to those who will now shift from ignoring this story to persecuting the officer for being a "slimeball." Then there's stealing pens from an office (he is a petty criminal) and some weird thing about improperly showing his ID when he was drunk (he's a drunk, and you know how they are) and the guy has just been triple smeared. No more Able Danger secrets will see the light, hooray for America!

Able Danger is a Pandora's Box that will blow up in the RW's face. Re-open the 9/11 investigation? BRING IT ON! Here's why: So the responsibility for stopping DIA program Able Danger, which had Identified Atta and 3 other hijackers and linked them to 56 other al-Queda terrorists overseas, has been laid at the feet of Bill Clinton--except he and Richard Clarke were never told about it at all. That's right. Bill Clinton was never told about Able Danger and the ID of Atta because Richard Clarke was never told about AD. How do I know? He never wrote about it in his book, nor did he testify about it's existence before the 9-11 Commission! You see Richard Clarke was known for being obsessed with Osama Bin Laden and HE was the guy the neo-con moles did not want to find out about Atta and the gang. Schoomaker and the neo-cons knew telling the FBI would inform Clarke and then Mr. Laser Beam himself, President of the United State William Jefferson Clinton, would have gotten involved--and the Pearl Harbor-type attack would never take place (the neo-cons talked about the need for a Pearl Harbor-type attack before the PNAC Plan would be accepted by the American people--so when one presented itself, they let it happen). General Pete Schoomaker, who were later heavily rewarded by the neo-cons in the Bush Administration, blocked the upward motion of the DIA information by having Shaffer and Philpott meet with Pentagon lawyers opinions--lawyers who were rubberstamping ridiculous legal opinions to carry out the neo-con plan.
