It's essentially impossible to posit a mechanism resulting from the airliner crashes that could cause sufficient quantities of fine iron/steel and aluminum particles to be created and then to be combined, PLUS being located in strategic proximity to critical structural components so as to trigger collapse -- in ANY appreciable amount to have intense oxidation occur and be observed. Burning (explosive oxidation) of aluminum from the aircraft's fuselege and wings by itself can't cause the formation of fine iron/steel particles, and neither could the aircraft impact. The quantities of fine iron/steel and aluminum particles required to cause the thermite/CD-type effects apparently observed in the videos of burning and molten-flowing metal, and the claimed cutting of core columns and evidence for molten-metal remaining at extremely high temperatures for several weeks in the below-ground debris-pile, ie., in quantities sufficient to suggest CD, would be on the order of several hundred pounds AT LEAST for each building -- and probably closer to a thousand pounds (esp. if CD is being proposed; Prof. Jones' is cited below on this estimate for quantity of thermite/ate required).<br><br>In a nutshell-- I just can't see how it's possible for this scenario to cause an entirely incidental, accidental thermite-type reaction to be observed (as claimed). From photo images I've seen and detailed descriptions I've read (my c'mputer is Quicktime/video-capable deficient) it sure seems likely that SOME kind of thermite-type reactions were observed and evidence found -- tho determining just WHAT the evidence actually means remains controversial.<br><br>Apparently, Prog.
