Professor Griffin employs established principles of intellectual argument in a book with 192 pages of carefully researched text and 49 pages of extensive scholarly notes. This book is not an off-the-wall polemic but rather a considered work that deserves to have a place in the public forum of discourse about Christian faith and U.S. policy.

The mission statement of the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation calls for us to publish “resources that advance religious scholarship, stimulate conversation about moral values, and inspire faithful living.â€

Well, let's see here. We've got this, the C-span coverage re: 9/11, Lou Dobbs asking for a new investigation of 9/11, Russo's Freedom to Fascism is being tested in theatres now (I don't know anything about him, is he legit?), Lieberman just got his walking papers from the Dems and it appears if we make it to election time this year that the Republicans and many of the encumbent Democrats will be booted out on their collective butts.

This looks great for democracy on the surface here in the U.S., but on another note, it might be pushing certain factions into a corner, thus Jones's dire prediction about another attack which could bring on the martial law.

Seems as if we're damned if we do and damned if we don't succeed, doesn't it?

I agree. We have no idea what these maniacs are prepared to do. They are playing for keeps. There is no compromise for them. There is no turning.

I've long thought that our best bet is internal, possibly the military or other agency - how fucked up is that?

haha! When a military coup starts looking good to people who are supposedly living in a republic with strong democratic tendencies, I'd definitely say we have a problem. I've been entertaining these same pathetic musings.
