12 Monkeys

While back in the 80s I could've never imagined saying something nice about the TV/Die Hard idiot with the harmonica and Planet Hollywood, today I like that Bruce Willis guy ... or, I'm very fond of three or four movies that depended all or in part on his performance: 12 Monkeys, Pulp Fiction, Sin City, Fifth Element.

It must be an interesting mental experience to have lived in all those "fictional" worlds and then find out that it's all for real.

I once heard Bruce Willis say he hated organized religion, that it was the cause of every evil thing that had ever happened in the history of the world.

After that, I liked the guy, despite his obstensible Republican leanings; I think he's more of a libertarian, and I'm down with that.

I also loved him in Sin City (btw, have we ever had a discussion on that movie, ala Eyes Wide Shut?) Pulp Fiction, and 12 Monkeys. Only a very thoughtful actor would take those parts.

Looks like some professionally-made Reich-wing agit-prop.
