I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by anything the increasingly more visible (and in your face, watcha goin to do about it, eh?) shadow Government of Them, Against The People DO anymore, but this too leaves me vaguely naseous and speechless -- I occasionally wonder whatever happened to the put-options investigations and the WTC harddrive reconstruction project -- I suppose this is just another aspect of 'the American people just couldn't handle knowing the truth' which has been bandied-about about why the Warren Commission wasn't challenged by more officials who knew better.

Good Gawd is there anything left to encourage us, or to support the now-pathetic myth of Gummint By the People, For the People, and Of the People? Why hasn't this particular batum been revealed before now, and in such a roundabout coincident way? Too many peoiple 'just doing their jobs' to sacrfice their pensions and career -- unfortunately, like Pentagon officials now jumping to the VP's orders to draw up nuclear and conventional-strike contingency Iran War plans while also being appalled at the implication -- America's core public character is moral cowardice to challenge abuse of power, official fraud and institutionalized corruption. THAT'S becoming more abundantly-clear every day, despite noteable exceptions of whistleblowers like Karen Kwiatkowski, Joe Wilson, Ray McGovern, and many others -- my enduring gratitude and Hats Off to them for raising the bar on integrity in resisting rampant criminality that now saturates the White House and Pentagon environs.

No newspaper of record would publish this shut-down order from somebody 'in the government'? No journalists were following this?

The complicity and cover-up just gets more and more outrageous -- if ever there were a people who didn't deserve a government of integrity and decency, upholding social justice and human rights through a hard-won democratic republic, I fear this is it. It's hard for me to feel much of anything but an overwhelming contempt for those who have cooperated in their nation's betrayal.

Obviously, the 'message' of blocking investigations is that if you are reckless and bold enough, Crime and even Treason pay.

Unfortunately, the deeper text is that America has now aligned itself with those attributes which are most vile, despicable, and self-defeating -- almost every political decision and action involves keeping past secrets buried and shielding those public officials and private citizens and groups which are culpable for gross criminal malfeasance and fraud, incompetance and abuse of authority, war-crimes and treason -- to keep the delictaely-assembled house of cards from tumbling for yet another few years and another ... And each outrage seems greater than those that came before, as IF such a thing wrre possible. And so we have this nincompoop-designed Terror Agenda as a sop and foil and diversion -- what a monstrous scam. I'm deeply, deeply offended.

Ands then too at times I wonder what's in store for the great Karmic reckoning of justly reaping what America has sown, to humble it's people for their enormous arrogance and contempt for consequences, whose pride is so great they think they are entitled to represent God's will and so evade consequences for the blood and horror it has unleashed upon uncountable millions, those least at-blame for the ills of the earth -- and for the millions of self-righteous citizens who do not feel it necessary to hold their oficials accountable or even to stay reasonably informed about what their Government does in their name... Good God, what do they think hundreds of billions of dollars of death-and-killing technology is being used for?

Starman
aieieiei ...
