Kinda telling of the Situation if it is Charlie Sheen who gets americans to start asking more questions, thinking, researching.

Anyway, there is a legitimate potential problem here. Charlie is going to have to stop talking about 'maybe it wasn't a normal airliner' because he has now taken on the responsibility of guiding us out of our newfound i11 shock, or skepticsm. Will Charlie guide us toward more substantial research, issues and researchers? The longer this rests on 'ole Charlie's shoulders, the worse it is for the movement. Maybe it will not rest on his shoulders, I don't know. It is just a danger in my opinion.

Jacobson did include this in his NY Mag expose:

Quote:
For, as Thomas Pynchon notes in his “Proverbs for Paranoids,” if they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about answers.

On the other hand, I have said before, even if you manage to steer a herd of people in the wrong direction with new revelations, there just might be one or two who catch on in the right way and may go on do some considerable work. This however remains a problem: it is good to raise awareness and increase exposure, but if everyone is going willy nilly down already well-known disinfo traps and chasing red herrings, this makes it all the harder for those clear-headed converts to have an impact. They too get drowned out in the hysteria of mass "sudden knowing".

The other problem with Charlie's new role as Light in the Wilderness is that most americans do not trust hollywood stars out on the left coast. All we need now is for Paris Hilton to become a 911 skeptic. (She's into qabbala too, isn't she?) I mean, good for her, good for everyone to become a skeptic, but god help us should Chris Matthews or Tim Russert have to interview Paris Hilton about 911.
