Byrnes had a position of high authority related to Martial Law and the seizure of govt officials.

www.conspiracyplanet.com/...605&page=2
Bush-Cheney:Gen. Kevin Byrnes Dismissal SentSignal
by AL MARTIN

"The recent dismissal of the four-star general sent a signal. General Kevin Byrnes was a four-star general who was the head of TRADOC (Training and Doctrine Command) in Hampton, Virginia.

This has never been done. A four-star general has never been dismissed from the service since the rank was created. Furthermore, the dismissal of a four-star general should have instigated Congressional hearings.

The Defense Oversight Committee is charged with investigating the dismissal of ranking officers.

For example, when both Richard Secord and Jack Singlaub were dismissed from the service by President Carter, there were Congressional hearings held.

Now, for a four-star general to be dismissed without any call by the opposition, (in this case, the Democrats) for Congressional hearings and without the Department of Defense providing a reasonable explanation is unheard of
However, this is what you have to look at: What was this guy in charge of? He was in charge of training forces that would ultimately be used for the purposes of suppressing domestic political dissent, and for the use of indoctrination.

If the conspiracy theorists most recent notion were true, that some sort of a coup detat was potentially brewing within the upper echelons of our military ranks, General Byrnes would be the kind of guy that would be necessary to be part of said conspirators.

These are people that are specifically trained to seize government buildings, people that are trained in the ability of whats called, seize-and-hold, sap-and-suborn government buildings that could hold so-called hostile Congressmen and Senators, discreetly.

According to published reports, Byrnes has had previous run-ins with Donald Rumsfeld and Steven Cambone, when he was just a Lieutenant General over troop strength cuts. Then Army Secretary Thomas White, who was a former director of Enron, intervened on his behalf, and he received his fourth star. Then White was later fired by the Pentagon Neocons.

The troops that Byrnes was training would be those troops that would be used to maintain order and power in the event that the Bush regime exercised its Patriot Act powers to cancel all further elections and simply remain in office and rule by fiat."

interesting theory

however, the fact that there are NO hearings and that Rummy claimed NO knowledge of any of the reasons regarding the dismissal of the general makes me suspicious. Nobody can tell me that he had no clue.

I sometimes draw from history. In these times, it is often helpful to look at the dealings within the German military establishment during the Hitler rule. Most Generals supported Hitler for a variety of reasons, but there was dissent and some took action;

Graf von Stauffenberg- executed for plotting to assassinate Adolf Hitler

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claus_Von_Stauffenberg

Military Plotters Hitler & Stauffenberg, and other military personas

members.aol.com/baronvanc/militarx.htm

I believe this General did not want to play along-- thats why he needed to be removed, IMHO

tosca

General Byrnes

Postby Peachtree Pam » Sat Aug 20, 2005 12:50 pm

Hi Tosca,

I am wondering if there will ever be ANY more information about why the general was fired. The dumb Democrats can't seem to bring themselves to call for a hearing.

I thought a four-star general had to be fired by the President, not another member of the military. I'm thinking of Mcarthur (sp), fired by Harry.

Hi Pam

IMHO, this is just another clue to those who are asleep, that we are dealing with a ONE PARTY system.

what was the old saying about the crow and the eye? hmm

both 'parties' are CROWS- both serve the same masters, have the same agenda. The differences are cosmetic only and created to perpetuate the illusion of them being 'different'.

Another point which is rarely mentioned, is that NO president can do anything militarily without the support of the military/pentagon. Everybody criticises the president , but ignores the complicity of the pentagon, as if to imply that the pentagon leaders are simply dummy robots who blindly follow any orders given to them by any civilian White House occupant. This is a complete logical fallacy and borders on intellectual neglect, denial- willingly or by naivite.

I'm very familiar with WW2 and German history and I can tell you one thing: NO leader can commit any acts of war without the support of the military- no matter which leader it is, or which country. It matters not what the 'constitution' says or which form of government you have- you need support of the generals to do it! That is why it is important to always be suspicious of the military establishment and for any people to be careful to NOT allow the military complex to assume massive power and size. Once that is established, as it did in Prussia and later in Nazi Germany, the people will be subject to WARS and subsequent destruction. Take heed-- don't trust the military! Militarism is the enemy of peace and freedom. When I hear praises of the military and phrases such as 'they defend our freedom', I want to PUKE! The purpose of any military is to commit WARS and KILL, nothing else! Look at what happend to Germany - the death of milions, cities burning, refugees, plagues , etc-- do you think the military complex was 'just taking orders'??

i'll end my rant here ....but just had to let off some steam...lol

completely with your rant. Wars are the way they get promotions, medals, fame blah, blah, blah and no thought about the pain and misery they will cause. The civilians are no better, war profiteers, lining their pockets, sacrificing nothing. The thugs in Washington today though are IMHO exceptionally venal.

Well, there's my rant!

the message sent through this rather silent removal is clear and most likely also intended for other elements within the military who might be plotting or at least dissenters:

we can do away with anyone, any time, anywhere! If we can get rid of a 4 star general in plain view, without any resistance or inquiry, we can do away with YOU too! We can do this because we CONTROL ALL venues, the congress, the military, the media!

this removal was a defiant show of arrogance by the power-and a signal and warning to ALL opposition.

The general was clearly chosen to be used as an example. Even if he was involved in 'personal misconduct', who cares? He was due to retire in the fall, his successor already named, his divorce was proceeding also. The only reason to spend money on his removal was to SEND A MESSAGE!
