I'm not sure how your presently assumed status of anonymity and your circumspect reticence to supply more background details in terms of a personal narrative is helping you, given the circumstances you describe.

As another M-kid, with my memories still shadowy (but I have finally realized they're real), it's in reading posts like yours, sw, that I am comforted. Thank you.

Another RA survivor spent a couple of ours at our house last night, amazed that she'd finally found people to listen without thinking she's nuts. --MaryK

I still don't get your reason for only sharing some details about yourself, and not others.

To broach two simple preliminary questions- you work for the government- doing what? Where?

It sounds as if your identity and whereabouts would be easy enough to track, by those with the resources to do so.

I share Victor Ostrovsky's view, that "a high profile" is what helps keep people like him alive. I haven't found the argument against that- excpet if there's some dire urgency, in which case it would be a mistake to post on the Internet at all.

isn't it a matter for the individual what personal details they include?

Okay, sw, that clears things up considerably for me. It appears that you've taken your problem to a lot of other venues.

I'm not out simply to press people, but if I feel that I need more background about their situation, I do ask.
