Whether you call it a democracy, a republic or something else, the point is that the United States is not the bastion of freedom that the general public is brainwashed into thinking it is. When basic constitutional and human rights are violated by our government agencies with absolute impunity, it's closer to fascism than anything else. At least in a dictatorship, you know where you stand. Just declare martial law and get on with the oppression. But don't pretend we have freedom of the press, the right to privacy and other basic human rights and then subject dissidents to covert torture like gang stalking and electronic harassment when they exercise the rights they are alleged to have. <p></p><i></i>
