Anyone who, like me, has ever lived in eastern Oklahoma knows about this. The true death-toll has never been counted. It was a Black neighborhood that was burned and bombed...<br><br>Lynchings didn't stop in America until the late '60's. ....But NOT surprising. We've pretty much all "awakened" here at R.I. to realize that most of what "they' taught us in school was/were lies! We need to get this out to the Bush-Lovers, not to be confused with the Busch-likers, so that when one of those idiots (literal Greek, "Know Nothings") says to us "Wal, thet coun't happin' heer", we can show them that it not only DID already happen here, it's going to happen again, if we don't just (I don't know what!!!).<br><br>I don't have any answers, folks, outside of our religious beleifs, I just don't see an answer in my "Magic 8-Ball". Every time I shake it up, it says, "Reply Hazy, Better Not Tell You Now". You want more crappola like that? Check out what happened in Washington, District of Criminals after WWI, when veterans marched, demanding their government-promised "war bonuses", and their tent city was attacked on orders from the President.<br><br>The tent city on the D.C. Mall was not only burned to the ground, but, men, women, and children were shot on sight. The casualties mounted into the hundreds. The troops were ordered there by Douglas MacArthur, and commanded by twin Colonels, Dwight David Eisenhower, and George S. Patton. There's yer 'merican heroz fer ya bloggerz!!!<br><br>Dig up your own historic sites on the world wide web, print it out, and SHOW you to your Super-Patriot family and friends, and you know what they'll say. Oh, you got it off the internet, everyone knows that you can't believe "anything" you find there. Just warning you what you're up against. Nothing you can show them will make any difference in their limited, "I didn't see it in my high school history book so it can't be true" worldview.<br><br>So, what in the universe can we do. Well, Mary, I'm a Brit and I had never heard the story before. The thing that struck me was that so many people just block off as soon as you start raising questions about 9/11: "Oh, the US government would never attack its own people..." So it's very interesting to have an actual, verifiable historical example of a US government doing so, and with military planes too. <p></p><i></i>

Another time the US Gubmint attacked its own people was in the Depression. I've told this story here before, complete with the lyrics of "Brother, Will you Spare a Dime?" about the Bond Marchers, WWI vets who really needed the money promised them when they signed up for that war. They marched on D.C. and camped out in the Mall for months.<br><br>The cavalry was sent to drive them away; the last charge on American soil with sabres drawn, ordered by then-Brigadeer Gen.
