I saw this DailyKos post today, and raised an eyebrow. nice catch, and potentially very good news.

by coincidence i was just reading about michael 'i wanted to do iran first' ledeen just this morning:

Quote:
What de Felice showed, by contrast, was that Italian fascism was both right-wing and revolutionary. Ledeen had himself argued this very point in his book, Universal Fascism, published in 1972. That work starts with the assertion that it is a mistake to explain the support of fascism by millions of Europeans “solely because they had been hypnotized by the rhetoric of gifted orators and manipulated by skilful propagandists.” “It seems more plausible,” Ledeen argued, “to attempt to explain their enthusiasm by treating them as believers in the rightness of the fascist cause, which had a coherent ideological appeal to a great many people.” For Ledeen, as for the lifelong fascist theoretician and practitioner, Giuseppe Bottai, that appeal lay in the fact that fascism was “the Revolution of the 20th century.”
[...]
Pellizzi had hoped that “the new era was to be the era of youthful genius and creativity”: for him, Ledeen says, the fascist state was “a generator of energy and creativity.” The purest ideologues of fascism, in other words, wanted something very similar to that which Ledeen himself wants now, namely a “worldwide mass movement” enabling the peoples of the world, “liberated” by American militarism, to participate in the “greatest experiment in human freedom.” Ledeen wrote in 1996, “The people yearn for the real thing—revolution.”
[...]
D’Annunzio’s watchword was “the liberation of human personality.” “His heroism during the war made it possible,” Ledeen writes, “to bridge the chasm between intellectuals and the masses. … The revolt D’Annunzio led was directed against the old order of Western Europe, and was carried out in the name of youthful creativity and virility.”
www.amconmag.com/06_30_03/feature.html

its all bullshit, of course. the man's a liar and a schemer.

re: Ledeen's neoconjob top-down authorized 'revolution'

Postby Starman » Fri Jul 01, 2005 5:36 pm

Good find Jeff; Makes me wonder who this security contractor was, reminds me of the recently slaughtered Italian Security chief who was guarding Sgrena; Plots and betrayals for the sake of the neoliberal fascists.

As Albion said:
'What Ledeen wants now is a “worldwide mass movement” enabling the peoples of the world, “liberated” by American militarism, to participate in the “greatest experiment in human freedom.” Ledeen wrote in 1996, “The people yearn for the real thing—revolution.”'

Good-KrIsT!
Just like CEO culture, there's a huge gap between what they say it is and what it actually is -- as if one can merely talk it into existence.

Ledeen and the other neocon nutjob autocrats DON'T want an actual, grassroots-originated Revolution based on human rights and social justice, as that would challenge their control of social institutions and the whole corporatocracy system of elite management and ownership, reducing the people to serfs servicing the machine.

'Liberated' by American militarism -- Oh man, is THAT an oxymoron. Isn't that the Latin American model of installing military storm-trooper-supported Dictators enforcing the elitist status-quo of concessions and agribusiness landholdings and limited-partner fiefdoms? Arguably, American postwar Foreign Policy has deliberately sabotaged third-world development and economic/political reform in order to keep these nations subservient to western/northern neocolonial interests, as raw resource warehouses and cheap-labour sweatshops fueling the treadmill of developed-nations' rising consumer demand.

There is a deep sickness in America, in which the best interests and will of its people have been hijacked by the banking, resource and military industries who now play a primary role in setting US foreign policy. This seems far less true for most of Europe, where covert police probably play a supporting role in working on-behalf of many of the same banking/resource/military interests that are the neocon's leading clients.

How far will the house-of-cards be allowed to tumble before damage control kicks-in? I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.
Starman

Speculation

There is a story on Spanish teletext today. A rough translation

"US military commanders have told the Spanish Ministry of Defence of their immediate intention to retire special forces from the base at Rota.

The pentagon announcement refers to a unit which specialises in clandestine commando operations".

Put this, together with the arrest warrant put out by the Italian judge against the CIA, alongside the theme of this thread. Something REALLY BIG has been uncovered in Italy, and the Americans are pulling out just the people that could be responsible.

There does seem to be an interesting cycle of "news" this week...

Josh Marshall rekindles the forged Niger documents. Research he had done tracked back to SISMI, where they hit a wall...

Does this all point back in that direction? Or is it more sinister?

Underground Italian Fascist Police Network: connected to

Postby emad » Sat Jul 02, 2005 12:24 pm

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George?

In 1995 the BBC ran a documentary on the macchiavellian networkings of this Vatican chivalry order, saying it was the real power behind most cover-up campaigns in Europe that were whitewashing cold-war era links of politicians and former KGB paymasters. Specifically links between Silvio Berlusconi's meteoric rise to power, his business links to Ken Lay and the mentoring of former KGB spook Vladimir Putin as a potential successor to Boris Yeltsin.

See the Order's site for the 'calibre' of its fans - including Poodle Blair - and details of the 'humaniarian' aid it cage to Iraq ($700,000 reported):

www.constantinian.org.uk/main.htm

Other snippets re the Constantinians:

The Order's Chancellor Anthony Bailey was reported as being in receipt of a 'personal donation' for the order's overseas development work in Iraq from RIGGS BANK European CEO David Bachetti in August 2004. This snippet was in the Telegraph magazine last year. No internet link to it.

AND

Anthony Bailey was twice investigated by the cops in the UK and in Monaco. In 1998 City of London cops questioned him about his 'friendship' with Peter Mandelson's Brazilian ex-lover Reinaldo Avila Da Silva after one of the UK Sunday papers printed a story about them consulting a witch doctor in Rio who did a ritual chicken slaughter to scry about some personal problem to do with an HIV test. Mail on Sunday (?) printed the pics and some steamy details about a rave party held later at a Rio massage parlor.....

Then in 1999 Monaco cops questionned Bailey about his financial connections to Ted Maher - the nurse convicted in the manslaughter of banker Edmond Safra. Noting much came of that story except that Maher was eventually convicted and LILY SAFRA inherited a reported $1billion from her ex. She is also reported in the UK as being a big Constantinian donor.

The Constantinians were recently written about in the London Evening Standard magazine in connection to their powerful communications network said to rival that of Opus Dei. Some allegations about them having members in NATO military intelligence and in interpol.

From memory, the Constantinians (who have a rival Spanish branch, now disenfranchised) were officially banned from operating in the UK following the collapse of Banco Ambrosiano in '82 and the death of 'God's Banjer' Roberto Calvi. Only after Thatcher got kicked out of office in October '90 did they slime they way back into the UK.

Just a thought......

I'm still a bit upset at Josh for his "techtonic plates" a year ago! when nothing happened then. So that’s something to look forward to in the not too distant future. Niger forgeries

Postby antiaristo » Sun Jul 03, 2005 7:27 am

Ive been doing my best to complicate matters for the British for some years. On this matter I wrote to Falconer in June 2003. And believe it or not, because of something else I did, I have an acknowledgement for this.

C/ Eusebio Navarro, 12
Lord “Charlie” Falconer 35003 Las Palmas de Gran
House of Lords Spain Canaria
Correos Certificado 17629ES 18 June 2003

Queens Bench 1994-c-2024
JP Cleary v Anglia Television
Dear Sir,

So, the august and ancient office of Lord Chancellor is no more, eh? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Let’s see now. Take yourself: appointed by the Queen as…

President of the Second Chamber [LEGISLATIVE], with a
Seat in Cabinet with the “Justice” portfolio [EXECUTIVE], and
Queens Counsel, able to deputise as a High Court judge.

What was it they said about the George Bush (41) tax increase? If it looks like a Lord Chancellor, acts like a Lord Chancellor, defecates on ordinary people and answers to no one like a Lord Chancellor…it’s a Lord Chancellor. Congratulations, Queens Counsel. Irvine was disposed of. You are the latest foreigner selected by the Harlot to serve as senior law officer of England.

Your brief:

“Words mean exactly what she wants them to mean, only force matters (the Law of Thelema). A thousand years of English common law; the Treaty of Maastricht; Human Rights Act; Resolution 1441. It’s all a load of old rubbish to Her Majesty. Just plumbing to be fixed by disposable servants like Blair and Irvine.” The Enemy Within

Now that we’ve cleared up that little deception, let’s get down to the matter at hand. The forged Court documents issued under Lord Mackay of Clashfern (JP Cleary v Anglia Television) and by Lord Irvine of Lairg (Wandsworth Council v JP Cleary), in both cases acting on the orders of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

I’m sure you know the high significance of the American President’s annual address to Congress, known as the State of the Union. On 28 January this year President Bush cited documentation he claimed “proved” Saddam Hussein had purchased large quantities of uranium oxide ore from Niger. The documentation was “authenticated by the British”, according to the President himself. Your chum Bomber Blair, at it again, waving around his enormous “God-given” Royal Prerogative.
BLAIR LIED AND THOUSANDS DIED BUT THE WINDSORS THRIVE.

So we have forged Court documents issued by the British Crown in February 1995. We have forged Court documents issued by the British Crown in April, June and August 2000. We have forged Government of Niger documents laundered by the British, according to President Bush. That’s quite a record for the “fount of all justice and honour”. So why should anybody believe a word that comes out of the British Junta while the Windsors are in charge? On what grounds do you seek judicial parity with the 24 democracies that comprise the European Union? What has changed in the three years since I warned Jospin and Reno against recognizing that obscenity as a legitimate and trustworthy jurisdiction? Exactly when did the thieving old slag in Buckingham Palace give up her “God-given” right to defecate on whomsoever she wishes by means of the English Court? And who, exactly, will enforce that prohibition against the Sadist Sovereign when that Sadist Sovereign really doesn’t want it enforced?
R.S.V.P.
Yours faithfully,

John Cleary BScMAMBA

Cc Jacques Chirac Jean-Pierre Raffarin 97375
Lady Hillary Clinton Henry Waxman 97376
Kofi Annan Hans Blix
Iain Duncan Smith Charles Kennedy 97377

Enc. Cleary to Peat 16 Nov, 26 Nov, 11 Dec, 14 Dec 2002
Cleary to Reno 29 May 2000
The Enemy Within 25 March 2003

Underground Italian Fascist Police Network:Kolberg 'suicide'

Postby emad » Sun Jul 03, 2005 1:18 pm

Maybe some connection???

WaPo's Bernstein wrote on 3rd May this year that Edward von Kloberg committed 'suicide' in Rome by leaping out of a castle. Other commentators reporting said that a magazine with George W Bush's picture on the cover was found on him.

SNIP from WaPo:
In a life full of flamboyance, his end followed form: The District resident, 63, leapt to his death Sunday from "a castle in Rome," a State Department spokeswoman said. Von Kloberg's sister said a lengthy note was found on the body, and U.S. Embassy officials in Rome told her that he committed suicide.
--------------

By far the most outrageous and lasting public impression of von Kloberg came from a notorious "sting" operation by Spy magazine. For a story the satirical journal titled "Washington's Most Shameless Lobbyist," a staff writer posed as a Nazi sympathizer whose causes included halting immigration to the "fatherland" and calling for the German annexation of Poland.

According to the magazine, von Kloberg expressed sympathy for the fake client -- and her $1 million offer. And then he was drubbed in print. Shortly afterward, he showed up at the opening of Spy's Washington office with a first-aid kit and sported a trench helmet, "so I can take the flak," he announced.
---------------
Von Kloberg expressed no ethical concerns about his work, saying people such as Hussein were U.S. allies at the time. He said he was "utterly fascinated" by the Iraqi leader and returned to the District to "propagandize why they were gassing the Kurds." The reason given, he said, was to prevent Arab fundamentalism from spreading in the Persian Gulf.

"That's pretty awful, isn't it?" he said in an interview. "That's what you had to do for the overall point."

ENDSNIP
See:
www.washingtonpost.com/wp...80_pf.html

Another twist in this tale?

Up to 200 Italian police 'ran parallel anti-terror force'
By John Philips in Rome
Published: 05 July 2005

Up to 200 police officers and former intelligence operatives are being investigated by Italian magistrates on charges of organising an illegal "parallel" police force to combat terrorism.

The shadowy group appears to have set itself up as a private security firm, offering protection to senior figures, and illicitly using official police resources.
