"NATO officials could have a plan as early as Friday for deploying its help, including several large transport ships that can transport everything from massive trucks to containers of food, water and medicine. Final approval rests with the ambassadors from the 26 alliance nations"

think it means ships not planes

it is kind of weird, because i have to be skeptical of sorcha faal's site, but it was the place where it first mentioned bringing nato into the area in relation to invading venezuala
and which says:

"Venezuela has uncovered plans for a NATO U.S.-led invasion and is preparing to defend the country against invading forces if necessary, President Hugo Chávez said, ''We discovered through intelligence work a military exercise that NATO has of an invasion against Venezuela, and we are preparing ourselves for that invasion,'' Chávez was quoted as saying late Friday night.

and you read it and think, yeah right!
then 2 days later i read on the guardian

"The US government today flagged up a role for Nato's newly formed response force in delivering aid to stricken areas of the Gulf coast"

i just had a look at a map, and you cant help but wonder, us and nato forces, and all positioned very very close to venezuala,
i hope this turns out to be paranoia
