What weirdness. I have written before about my involvement with the anti-war coalition in LA during the first Gulf War (anyone remember that one?)

That coalition was SOOOO infiltrated by crazies and cops...couldn't tell which was which. Here's one of them. His name is Larry Greenblatt and he was in that central group that was so disruptive. I heard later that he was JDL but I don't have any confirmation.

He once offered me porn "I have lots of it in my apartment...you can have as much as you want." He even offered a TV so I could view it. I declined his generosity.

too late to write too much now but I googled him tonight looking for some of these folks from my past. Right after the coalition days, he decided to become "Melrose Larry Greenblatt" and was always either running for office himself or promoting Howard Stern for President. He was such an avid fan and made such a public ass of himself that I guess he got on the show.

Here's his website on which he says:

Quote:

But I am 100% behind George Bush and his war against Islamic Fundamentalism.

So we see where his politics actually are. So why hang around the anti-war crowd? It's a long story but he was part of a pretty sophisticated campaign (as I understand it now) to disrupt that coalition. The fact that he was clearly a spy (obviously not politically on the same page, offer of porn and other stuff I won't go into now though I've written about it on my late lamented blog dreamsend.blogspot.com/2003_10_08_dreamsend_archive.html

Anyway, what the hell. I'm writing him an email. I'll let you know if he responds.

I live in LA. Used to drive home from work from Hollywood to West LA. Cahuenga to Melrose to Highland to Olympic. Every day I'd pass Melrose Larry at Highland and Melrose, dancing around, waving a sign.

No idea what his deal is or was, but his desperateness to get someone's attention to pull over and talk to him was a little unnerving. Had to actually drive around him on more than one occasion, as he was pushing his way into the street.

He may have been a useful idiot against the anti war crowd, but my instinct tells me that he's just got some problems and was looking for attention.

yeah, he was definitely nuts....that would be some VERY committed deep cover work there. However, he was part of a little circle of folks that were actively disrupting the work...so I want to know who he was working for or being manipulated by. So...I wrote him an email and asked....hey, can't hurt. (My email was anonymous).

DE, i hear you.
watch the denials here, and see why its actually pointless to do what you are doing. I have seen it happen numerous times, in Israel. someone will say - but look this guy who is writing here against the occupation and calling the IDF nazis, he actually has a website where he is bragging of his good relations with the government, in fact the gov is his main client/sponsor, officially !

People will just read it, and skip, i wonder if these operatives use some magic to cause dissociative responses from readers, or is it just FEAR ?

in fact, its almost tempting to switch sides, at least they are having some fun.
