Quite a statement by Ramsey Clark, ay?

So I hope the doubts about his motivations can be allayed somewhat and we won't be reading Jeff's warnings against him over at DemocraticUnderground the next time Clark is involved in an anti-fascist protest.

Hugh, why do you think Ramsey works with the Worker's World Party?

Why did he defend a Nazi war criminal? And Larouche?

While I can't prove Ramsey is deep cover, it should be self-evident that people who ARE deep cover would go around saying things acceptable to the left. The fact that McGovern doesn't even do that particularly well is one thing.

I'm open to the idea that whatever Ramsey is is more complex than simple "agent". But it just doesn't make sense. He doesn't use communist ideology in any of his writings so why is he working with this Maoist group? Why not ally with progressive democrats? Or even less sectarian (and cultish) socialists? Why risk the professional and political suicide that associating with WWP would be? But, then again, why WASN'T his association with WWP completely hyped by FOX news, etc? You'd think the Washington Times would have had it in huge banner headlines every time Ramsey made the news. It's very, very fishy. Think about it....ANSWER maneuvers constantly to make sure they are the primary anti-war group and meanwhile they are the easiest to discredit as a bunch of extremists.

Also, Ramsey's group has a history of splitting the anti-war movement, particularly in the first gulf War. I've seen this movie before and I don't like the ending.
