Come on chig, chill--it's Friday night and people wanna--um, go to church.
I'm being a caregiver for me dear old mudder; she's 83 and she hollers "Where are you?" whenever I'm not in the same room with her.
She may live another ten years, or she may die tomorrow, but I tell ya what chigger, when she's gone I'm leaving the country. Buh-bye now!
Today's my birthday--

Heyia RollickHooper!

Me TOO!!
Happy (sad) Birthday greetings ...

I wish I had my house PACKED with folks from New Orleans ..

My heart just keeps breaking -- I'm SO damn disgusted, even horrified by the sheer inhumanity I've been seeing and hearing about ...

Even Rivaldo at the Convention Center has been overcome by gross evidence of the abysmal lack of action, trying to provoke O'Reilly to more vocal ass-fire-lighting -- It would be laughable if not so tragic, that FOX and MSNBC and CNN are capable of getting better information, the ONLY information apparently, that anyone has, esp. the so-called 'officials' who are supposed to be managing this cluster-fuck -- WHO THE FUCK is overseeing this GD scene?

WHY aren't there non-stop busses???? The lack of leadership points inexorably towards a hideous, horrid, abysmally horrible conclusion -- this is being criminally-bungled deliberately -- How many thousands of vehicles have I seen flying-by huddled, shocked, exhausted, starving and slowly-dying people patiently waiting on the I-10 eastbound overpass, where Sam Shephard pleaded and cajoled and desperately urged SOMEONE, ANYONE, direct some help to these folks -- What's the matter, isn't anyone watching TV in the military-rescue headquarters, don't the hundreds of overflying helicopters have radios or observant pilots, capable of giving radio-reports of the urgent human catastrophe evident below them? What about all the rescue-personnel, policemen and officials and military big-shots and bus-drivers and truckdrivers rolling past these desperate people, are they immune to common-sense? How ELSE to explain this than as deliberate lack of will?

Is the Grand Overseer, ie., the war-and-killing, violence-promoting Death Industry vicars of Wealth and Power, hoping that cholera and riots will erupt as people are pushed beyond the farthest threshold of common humanity, dignity and hope, forced to endure indescribeable horrors reminsescent of a city under seige transformed into a concentration camp --

and these unsubstantiated rumours of shooting that paint an image of urgent, uncontrollable crisis that impedes recovery, providing a handy opt-out excuse to help explain the mind-boggling mismanagement that can ONLY be described as criminal --

And the National Guard troops preventing folks from leaving -- that's one of the most horrible things yet -- Visions of Palestine? Waiting to provoke an epidemic?

We're ALL living in temporary shelters in America today, we're all refugees today in what used to be our own land, and perhaps MIGHT yet be reclaimed by us again someday if we have the spirit and courage and faith and strength to recognize and confront evil, and banish it from our shores.

Starman

PS-- Damn, but Rivaldo is HOT and angry tonight, pleading and shaming those watching, the TV audience, the World, US, with utterly gut-rwrenching stories and images of abject, senseless suffering, untold tens of thousands of people living in filth, treated like animals in exact NAZI-era style, forced into an utterly humiliating, foul, barbaric, dangerous, hopeless, despairing abyss --

I can't fucking believe anyone can watch these images without recognizing a huge, horrible crime -- It's just SO outrageous there aren't words for it -- Sam Shephard is red-faced and angry, trying to avoid blaming anyone -- but it's inexplicable -- what the FUCK are the Military doing? They're preventing the Red Cross from helping, saying they can't guarantee security --
?????
Oh My God ....
The contrast between the scenes of horror and the flashy, snazzy, self-satisfied, smug overindulgence of modern consumer-oriented advertising is a stark condemnation of a system deep in reality-denial.

This is a fucking nightmare, seemingly deliberately created and played for all its worth.
I'm beyond outrage ...
