Let's not mince definitions. Ritual and Sacrifice are both words with multiple shades of meaning.<br>One step back. Breath. Good.<br><br>The bloody massacre of nations of people vs. religious killing of individuals.<br>Can handing the Native Americans smallpox laden blankets with genocidal intent be reasonably put alongside the ritual of sacrificing one of your own children so that your tribe may have better crops next season?<br><br>It can if your only point is to show that humans are greedy, bloodthirsty savages and are willing to justify all sorts of killing.
