Anyone know. A quick search indicates he has posted no new topics on this new forum and, given his circumstances, if true, I have concerns.

Jeff or anyone heard from him or has he posted on any threads?

Anyone able to coomunicate with him?

I was worried, as well. But then I thought maybe it was all just a hoax and he got tired of this playground.

He posted here a couple of days ago, I don't remember which thread.

But he hasn't been posting much ever since I mentioned that I was aware of other places he has posted, and aware that what he says to other people is not always consistent with what he says here. Indeed, just going through his postings here at the site shows a lot of contradictions if you take the time to look at them.

I don't make claims that I can't back up with full documentation.

concerns for Biao

I also have concerns, he didn't reply to my email a couple of weeks ago I think, simply asking if he was ok. I understood that Avalon had doubts , which surfaced in a thread (first time I posted) about Crowley-inspired R.A. behaviour. The item he started that thread with is entirely consistent with the experience of several survivors known to me. I don't live on the same continent as he said he did.

I'm not talking about whether what biaothanatoi said sounds "right" to other survivors -- and none of the other survivors here have said things here that sent up any red flags with me on that level.

What I'm talking about is internal inconsistency. Details that change from posting to posting, and some claims he has made that are directly contradicted by other postings he has made elsewhere.

It's not something that you would necessarily notice in a fast-moving forum, unless you do the tedious job of slogging through a lot of posts and putting them next to each other.

If he posted then anybody remember where?

My concerns are simple.

He sounded like things were getting more dangerous and it could all just be a front.

But I do get concerned.

I was scammed in a situation like this on another board years ago and was burned badly by someone claiming to be in desperate straits (they set me up, got my email address, made me look foolish -- I actually called the FBI -- and then threats and harassment at my private email began).

But I tend to give the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise.

If there are obviousd and glaring inconsistencies in other boards -- I missed your posts on it -- I'd like to see links.

Then I may stop worrying.

i got drawn into a pretty intense thread trying to defend him/her but since biao was so voal here usually for months the absence is serious.

Maybe he just got tired of trying to get support here or maybe .... anything.

Thanks for your concern - and sorry, Jenz, that I haven't responded to your email from a few weeks ago. I've been busy enough at work that I've been forced to take a break from most online communication, which hasn't necessarily been a bad thing.

I'll admit that I was feeling desperate when I first found RI, and I initially maintained a pretty constant presence on the board. There was a lot of things that I was trying to figure out, and there are people here that really helped me out. RI put me in contact with people like Jenz, Willow and others, and that's led to other modes of support.

I know it's to be expected online, but discussion was increasingly being derailed by BS like Avalon's postings here - the attrition level was rising on this board, as far as I was concerned, and I need to conserve my energy levels for the battles that count.

I'm still around and reading, I'm just keeping quiet. But thanks for asking.

Sorry, Willow, doing fine. Been forced to take a break from my online life - aaah conferences ... lovely little work-funded holidays. I'm doing OK.

My friend has managed to dial some other people into this situation, so I'm not flying solo like I was. There are other people who we can trust to help her stay safe. There was an attack a few weeks ago, when I first went interstate, but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The perps had a big “festival” last weekend (before “Lammas” on the first) that they were trying to force her to attend (emails, phone calls, to follow up the attack) but she stayed safe.

We are both learning a lot at the moment. I’m running through a preliminary literature review before I enroll for the doctorate next semester. It’s been great to do the reading but I have to watch it – I plowed through Noblitt and Perskin’s “Cult and Ritual Abuse” last week, but it just built up to the point that I couldn’t sleep. I have to watch vicarious trauma, it’s easy to forget that you are vulnerable as a bystander.

We are mapping the attempted attacks against occult calendars and full moons at the moment, which is invaluable in predicting risk episodes. Her triggers are like clockwork – equinoxes, solstices, sabbats – I wouldn’t believe it if I wasn’t seeing it in front of me. The RA calendars available online have proved invaluable. We can’t predict random ‘softening up’ attacks like the one a few weeks ago, but we know when the major threats are coming up.

I’m also reading through more literature on DID and discussing it with her, in terms of how it applies to her inner life and world. She doesn’t have ‘alters’ in terms of personalities with names/histories, etc, but certainly she has disparate parts and internalized representations -'victim’, ‘perpetrator’, ‘child’, ‘adult’, etc – mood swings and anxieties can often be traced to conflicting inner ‘dialogues’ between these. Using some of the DID literature in a metaphorical sense has helped us enormously.

So we are going well. Importantly, she’s the best I’ve ever seen her, and she’s able to do things (cognitive stuff) that she couldn’t even a short time ago. I’m reading, thinking and percolating … I’m sure I’ll be back here soon to stir things up! It’s great to be getting back to normal, and hopefully I’ll be able to weather the trolls better.

Thanks for checking in.

Glad you are safe and sounding happy and good.

No problem. And thanks for your support. It gets hard - you speak out on RA, you draw fire - particularly if you mention a specific belief system. You can never tell fact from fiction on the net, but you trusted me, and I appreciate that.

glad you are ok

Hello again, glad you are fine. Dreamsend has posted about a site concerned with validating memories which may be of interest sometime. It links through to some resources which might also help. the timing of attacks with fests is pretty frequent, but some groups include things like Christian festivals, and birthdays, just to throw in the confusion.
