I also agree there is little to do, and much less chances right now for real change. (that's why I am all for the immigration solution, for me personally, but I don't see the long lines of governments offering visas). Again, I don't think you describe what most arabs feel. There is a difference between their propaganda and their realities as well, and I am at least trying not to fall into this mistake. Our government is all too happy to show the terrible stuff written in Arab world against us, to make me scared. I am a recovered Israeli, in this sense, and I don' believe them at all. I did not yet meet even one Arab in my entire life here who was hateful. Some may not like the scene here, but that's totally different than seeing hatred or racial hatred or blind vengence. In fact, I met with Arab people who can see through a lot of crap and make distinctions. I did however meet many many more of my own people who are scared, racists and therefore cruel and obtuse. Many of the people in military positions scare the shit out of me, and I have much less in common with them, even if they are "jewish" or come from my own family. I think they are dead wrong and are dangerous too. But I also see how their power is coming from European/American sources and funding and scams. i wasn't always this way, and generally, if one was born and grew up here, there is very slim chance they can "transcend" the Zionist upbringing and conditioning. So, you'd have to know that too. Oh, I personally would be very happy if the US took out all the bombs they gave us and the money too. But then again, this is like asking "what do you feel about the prospects of Martians coming right now to your building." I don't know if this is a useful way to spend time (fantasy, that is). more later

thanks veritas, I can see Eric is not an unbiased person in this discussion. Too bad for him, but I don't think he represents many people, including those he "speaks for " (the vague "arab world" conventiently lumped up together, friends and foes, fascists and communists and what not). <a href="http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3158442,00.html">www.ynetnews.com/articles...42,00.html</a> Some good news ! just this moment, reported that Syrians rescued ISraeli yacht in Cypruss. There are indeed many smart people through history who were antisemitic, and there are even more of those smart people who said and wrote horrible stuff about women (schoppenhauer, nitzche and king solomon...just off hand), it made me very confused as a young person. So, Eric suspects Jews and admits he never met one. Perhaps this can help him towards self improvement. Or not. In his documentary "Protocols of Zion," Levin explores two beliefs - one old, one relatively new - fueling anti-Semitism: Jews have a master plan known as the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" to rule the world, and no Jews died during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Levin wants to get to those people who subscribe to those theories so much that he welcomed Malik Zulu Shabazz , a black nationalist leader known for his anti-Semitic views, to a recent screening. "My film is a journey into the face of, into the heart of, hate," Levin said. "I want to show the film on the West Bank, I want the film shown in Indonesia ... " Levin, whose 1998 dramatic film "Slam" won awards at the Cannes and Sundance film festivals, was inspired to pursue the project in the days after the 2001 attacks, when an Egyptian immigrant cabbie told him Jews had been warned and that it was all written in the "Protocols." Mayor Bloomberg Historians have long dismissed the document, which originated about 100 years ago, as a forgery concocted by Russian leaders. But throughout the Middle East and other parts of the world, many still believe it's authentic. Levin's film, which opens October 21, is at times deeply personal and surprising. He talks to white supremacists, Palestinian Americans, Christian evangelicals, and various Jews including supporters of Israel who have no sympathy for Arabs. Levin's father accompanies him for much of the foray. In one scene, a handful of black people question and denounce Jewish power, and point out that the current mayor of New York, Mike Bloomberg, is a Jew. I stand by all of it, you'll have to make a case for me being misled, not just pronunce it like a five year old emulating their parents. israelirealities What did your Arab friends do in 1948, 1967 and 1973 ? I'll give you a clue, it wasn't rescuing Jews.

It seems you are almost happy to see war in the region. I think your Arabs sources are feeding you with what you want to hear, and apparently they are smart (er than me, arguing with you, gosh) I don't have to prove anything to you, Eric. I know where I am, and who my friends are, that's enough for me. I think you are correct. What did you say ?
