Mystery booms rock Mobile, Alabama

They are rattling my patio doors. They last for about three seconds apiece. Don't know what they are, but I've felt sonic booms before, and these don't feel like sonic booms.<br><br>on edit to try and fix the link. Not an earthquake, but there has been one additional boom since I first posted.<br><br>I remember some years ago reading about naval ships firing missiles at the state from out in the Gulf ala Puerto Rico but I can't find a story on it anywhere. <p></p><i></i>

We've had terrific booming thunder here in Richmond, VA today. And since the weather has been like late Spring all winter who knows. The water can really carry military percussion, though. <p></p><i></i>
