Vatican City "paranormal activity"?

Postby vancityrj » Fri Aug 25, 2006 7:28 pm

A teenager captured some interesting video at St. Peters Basilica. It looks like a red/orange cloaked person hovering above the tomb at the front of the crowd.

Can't figure out how to capture the video, so click on this link:

www.canada.com/chtv/vanco...ndex.html#

Then click on the "Paranormal Caught on Tape" link in the middle of the page to see the video. Sorry about having to watch a Stella Artois ad (could be worse.....)

rj

this is the best I can do. I used to be able to download flash videos useing a firfox extension, but they don't seem to be working that well any more. This is a gif animation assembled from frame by frame snapshots. I out them together in ImageReady. It's 219k.

I'm thinking cloth of some kind.... hung from a line? People never look up anyways, and the kid mentions a mirror so I'm kind of suspicious of some trick involving it.

Looks like something hanging on a wire...church workers could be setting up a new display, or taking down an old one. Catholic churches love drapes and banners. The video does not capture enough to judge if it is moving, where it came from, where it went. Hey, that's how I feel sometimes.

This kid is lucky, though. I lost my camera when I visited the vatican. Actually, I left it at a streetside beer and snack stand after I had finished touring the museum and Sistine Chapel. I ambled off for about a mile before realizing I was cameraless. Oh, why did I drink a giant canned beer after leaving the Vatican?! Serves me right.

(Funny, it might actually have been a Stella Artois! Or Calrsberg.)

Edited by: Gouda at: 8/26/06 6:29 am
