This is true: the <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>first</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> number that came to mind was 68, but before I had 'settled' on it, I considered a few more (56, 58, 78 ) and settled on 78. 78 was my number and then I scrolled down to get the answer. So I guess the trick caught me as I caught it. (Gosh, I hope that is an even number, or am I an idiot!) Had this been live TV, I would have embarrassed Blain or DE - though I might have been edited-or-escorted-out, perhaps by large security goons. <br><br>***<br><br>That was fun, and I have a disclosure: I have not even read the original material posted by Jeff on Retropsychokensis. There are 4 numbers that fit.<br><br>56 58 68 78.<br><br>look at this<br><br>5 6 7 8 9<br><br>Even number?<br><br>68 automatically leaps to mind.<br><br>Its a balance thing if you look at it like that. They are even integers, 6 and 8. And they are balanced in the series, and they occupy the 2nd and 4th place in the series. Those places are the only ones in the series that are even.<br><br>I bet RAWilson would have a ball playing with these numbers<br><br>So if you are looking for an even number the association is more likely to be with the even integers from the set of integerers that can make up the number you are picking.<br><br>IE out of the four even numbers that are available 56 58 68 and 78, the one made up of integers that are themselves even is 68.<br><br>All the rest have an odd and even integer to form them.<br><br>Is this the sort of thing we are talking about re subliminal cues?<br><br>Or does this just sound like babble. <p></p><i></i>

Oh, as I think about it...I don't think I gave the directions correctly. I think both digits have to be even...yeah, that's the instructions. Actually, whats' funny is if you put all that together, the instructions are obviously so limiting that it's a silly trick...but he used it on TV. <br><br>So revise the instructions to "both numbers even, first smaller than second, between 50 and 100." It's a stupid trick which I didn't even say correctly. Here's a better one. Everyone can play.<br><br>Pick a multi-digit number. More than two digits is ideal. <br><br>Scramble the digits in any way...but thoroughly or it won't be a challenge for my powers!<br><br>Now, you have two numbers..the original and the scrambled. <br><br>Subtract the smaller from the larger and write down the result.<br><br>Got it?<br><br>Good, now cross off ONE of the numbers...but not a zero, thank you, as this clouds the process.<br><br>Anyone who does this...now list for me the remaining numbers and I'll tell you what you crossed off. <br><br>Wagering encouraged. <p></p><i></i>

It's a math trick. Based on the number nine. Anytime you rearrange the digits of a number and subtract, the resulting number will always be divisible by nine.<br><br>One way to know if a number is divisible by nine is to add the digits. Any number divisible by nine...if you add the digits, the sum will also be divisible by nine.<br><br>So, is someone gives 1 4 6, those add up to 11. I know that the missing number must bring the sum to the closest multiple of nine....in this case, 18. So their number is 7.<br><br>So now you can try it at home. I usually use the serial number off of a dollar bill...a long string of numbers. If you do the math in your head it's more impressive. <p></p><i></i>
