ooh, looks like i put myself in the crosshairs here

Ill check em out if i got time.

Still Im not being waylayed. I listened to my thoughts exactly to discover that Im broadcasting them without knowing. And people around me pick em up. I switch from a love based thinking to a hate or fear based thinking and the vibes from people in my immediate surroundings instantly change. The possibilities I thus expose myself to vary according to what Im thinking, down to some really fine vibrations.

Its as though - well theres an anecdote... a dog wanders into a hall of mirrors. Theres also an "outside" factor that plays in though, which i havent been able to discern exactly tho.

Edited by: 4911 at: 6/30/06 11:09 am

That came out more crudely than I intended, I apologize, but I really do recommend you take a look at them closely. You may begin to see a slight pattern emerging.
____________________
Oderint, dum metuant

By the way, and I must stress that I am making absolutely no insinuations towards you whatsoever, but reading your thoughts on this last night reminded me of someone who often spoke in the same terms in regards to 'positive thinking'..He liked to employ deferations to the 'Universe' as his safety net, meaning, I'd often hear him say that 'As long as I place trust in the Universe, I have no problems', and recited this frequently especially around bill collecting time, etc..

Anyways, for context, the guy was married and had like 3 kids when I met him(I was briefly staying in a commune of massage therapists/hippie weirdos while I was in college cause teh rent was dirt cheap.) He had recently left his family and his well-established trade as a Carpenter to train to be a massage therapist and because he was older, he used to attract younger people to him which were further sweetened by his 'universe' talk(ask the Universe for some candy and you're gonna get some, ad nauseum).

Well, he must have leaned pretty heavy on the Universe for some ass and not been accomodated cause he ended up raping one of the young girls he was always spouting his crap to. She told us that through it all from begining to end(the actual rape), he kept telling her to think positively about it and the Universe would make it ok..

I'm not big on positive thinking, personally. Positive Thinking is/can be employed for 'Evil' in ways that can't be imagined..
____________________
Oderint, dum metuant

that was a funny story right up until the rape part. Um no Im no carpenter. Im not even in North America. So the dude was a loser who couldnt deal something.

I wont believe for a second though that because this asshole raped someone, the line of thinking must lead to hurting other people.

I refer to it only for the considerable detail attached regarding the 'outside factor', and it's resonance with so many other similar experiences.

Bottom line here is a simple one:

Careful what you wish for.
____________________
Oderint, dum metuant

the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Lookit Hitler. He thought he was being a great guy. He thought he was doing something good for germany - and he was - at the beginning. It was all downhill from some point though.

Ah hell are you gonna call me a nazi now?

Whoa I read your link - hm, Im not into occult shit either. I stay away from that stuff. I cant explain what occult or magick is. Im not interested in black or white magick, Im interested in discovering what reality is and why Im part of it.

Black & white magick have alot of connotations that arent conducive to happiness on the long run, far as I can tell.

I choose happiness and understanding.

Im not someone with all the answers either, just another questioning wanderer.

How about this though: You know there used to be alot of episodes where some nut walked into a mcdonalds and shot everyone in the place & then himself. Im not sure, but I cant guarantee that everyone in the McDonalds joint wasnt completely fed up with their lives on some deep level and just asking for a death they couldnt be blamed for.

4911 says, referring to Adolph H: "He thought he was doing something good for germany - and he was - at the beginning."

hmmm, now just what was that 'good part'? anyway? What part of Mein Kampf was the good part? Must have been an earlier edition.
