Just heard his latest lyrics to the latest single. Opens with the line " first they ignore you , (going on to repeat Schoppenhaurs quote)

Ever heard the lyrics to "Something beautiful", or "Feel", or "Come undone" ?

He recently performed a gig in Berlin, where the audience were positioned in a circle.

Needless to say, hes one of the few "superstars" who has no objection to people copying his music - freely.

Anyone here get that ?

It's not art, but it's pretty frank stuff. He also said the best time of his life was when he was doing tons of drugs. Me too.

It's a shame it isn't art actually.

I just like the idea that he opens a "pop" song with a philosophical quote. Hes obviously "thinkin about somethin", and subliminally plantin' the message out there.

Cant all be bad can it ?

He has very interesting thoughts but he just plain writes them down as he would in a letter. Too long winded for me

I used to hate him, I must admit, but I now realise he's smashed his way through his own coroprate created image and said f*** the lot of you. Very refreshing.

I've been reading the history of British punk. It now reads like the end of something. The old social system didn't work and Lydon announced the death of worthy petit bouergois hippyism.

That's how I feel today. I don't want (for example) to hear any silly damned nosense about multiculturalism or equal opportunity. Not because I'm a racist but because these aren't the issues. In fact as a conspracy theorist I now believe that nothing that's discussed are the issues. It's all a distraction

People have been trained, programmed and manipulated beyond belief in the last few years. I can't stand it, I've walked off the end of the cultural pier and won't go back.

Partly it's because people with minimum education are being programmed with abstract concepts they just don't know what to do with except obey .

I am not a team player, I'd prefer to be a number !

Interesting. Here's a story from last month:
