So what exactly attracted you to this clip?<br><br>Sort of looks like FLIR (infrared) until you snag a frame and invert it and see it looks more like a simple negative. The camera is patched in to the heads up display? A real HUD actually provides information on the screen that correspond to the planes position and attitude. This static frame has some lines and numbers in a sort of HUD config, and tells you nothing. Agreed. The "UFO" doesn't fly into the frame in correct representation to the cloudline, it comes in at a straight line even with the camera jiggling.<br><br>More BS video from that Australian UFO Wave website. This guy is pumping out fake vid after fake vid and the result will be years of confusion. People are still wondering if the Sci-Fi Channel WTC UFO commercial was real or fake, and that was broadcast on the channel years ago. This crap is going to haunt UFO and paranormal websites for years to come.<br> <p></p><i></i>

How does he benefit from this or is it just for shits and giggles? If he wants to wow possible clients on his skills I'm not sure this is how one would go about it. Does he have a millitary background? Is he providing cover for something else or sowing confusion for some other reason. "Look over here! Don't look there, see this!" <p></p><i></i>

Between June and mid-August 2006 thirty-one clips of UFOs were created. The UFO videos were distributed over the internet via websites and video podcasts. Writers crafted background stories for the sightings, and answered thousands of e-mails using a fictional persona. The process, reactions and responses were recorded for a forthcoming documentary.<br><br>The project was hugely successful, being viewed by many millions of people. Very few people suspected that the clips were manufactured. Gradually, the level of plausibility was reduced, but only when the last two clips were uploaded did a large number of people get suspicious. It's also worth noting that two of the UFO clips we distributed were quite genuine - and no researcher was able to pick which two they were.<br><br>In our opinion this was not a hoax or deception, but an immersive artwork. We had three main aims:<br><br>1. To give people a taste of the drama and excitement of a UFO Close Encounter, creating a genuine sense of wonder.<br><br>2. To improve research into videos of genuine UFOs. As we discovered, researchers are woefully equipped to spot fakes. We want ufoloogy to improve as a result of this experiment.<br><br>3. To show skeptics that they often rely on faith rather than evidence. (Many skeptics made bold statments about the clips being nothing more than balloons, space junk, stars etc - without doing their research. They were more easily misled than UFO-believers.)<br><br>We did not make false reports about UFO activity beyond the confines of this website.
