Minstrel Boy v. The Magistrate

Moderators: Elvis, DrVolin, Jeff

The Magistrate still has a lot of fans at DU. Anyone know

if he his a member of one of its Activists group and if so which?

Having experienced a number of attempts by a DU coterie to trash, pillory and smear some of my threads relating to Nazis, the Catholic Church and pedophile priests involved in abuse lawsuits, I often wondered if organised raids too place as a form of recreation on boring Monday mornings for some people.

Also, I had a whole spate of hate mail on the e-mail account I set up specially some two years ago for my DU registration. Always thought there was a distinct possibility that some of this may have been related to the coterie who do not like my stance.

how grateful I am for all of your encouraging words. And it's great to see so many new and familiar names make the crossing.

Skinner's a political animal, and such creatures usually just don't get the parapolitical. For someone who admittedly doesn't, I have to credit him with demonstrating greater tolerance than Kos. But it does get tiresome being reluctantly tolerated. (Over there, sometimes, I feel like part of a persecuted majority.)

In fact, this forum exists only because Skinner rejected my proposed DU parapolitics group. Though there was more than enough interest, he made the call that it would be to difficult to moderate. (Perhaps "moderate" in every sense of the word.)

DU remains an excellent political forum, but politics - Good God, what is it good for?
