One of my favorite songs is Calling All Angels by Eliza Gilkyson. I heard it for the first time on Sept. 12, 2001.

And a good friend of mine is a musician. Most of his songs have a social/political message, in addition to great lyrics. He writes the songs, sings, and plays all the instruments. Here's a few of his songs.
Perfect Soldier: about Che Guevara.
History Was Perfect
World At My Feet
Chasing Kharma
Repo Man

Just click the links and you can listen to the music without downloading.
Enjoy!
