Questions on Image Posting

can I upload images from my hard drive,or are they linked from websites only?<br><br>Is there a size limit & preferred format?<br><br>My knowledge of Web tech stuff is limited..I know 'hot-linking' is a big no-no;Would somebody more clued up than me care to explain how to avoid it?<br><br>Finally one for Jeff..Do you make your own little collages you illustrate the top of your blog with?I really like them..what do you use to make them? <p></p><i></i>

the images have to be linked.<br>Sometimes if you see a picture somewhere on the web you want to include, using firefox or mozilla you can right click on it and choose, "copy image location," then back here on this board you hit the image button and paste the location in. For uploading, you can use a free service such as imageshack.us to upload to. use the 'direct link' link type it will show you after having uploaded the image.<br><br>I know Jeff has said he makes the collages, but not what program. For image editing, if you're using Windows, check out PhotoImpact which years ago was one of the main competitors to PhotoShop. I believe it was called Aldus "PhotoStyler" back then.
