It's posted in two formats at the link above (the plain text version looks better online). Many of the films were created by the CIA, and some - such as news reports and the occasional Hollywood movie - were not. Unfortunately, there's no indication of authorship in the list, though you can sometimes tell by the title.

You can request a copy of any of the films under the Freedom of Information Act. I would think that the 'sun spots' story could be used as cover for communications sabotage and other technical hijinks. Or to create a fictional sabotage story. Either way.

Example:
Wayne Madsen was reporting that military scrambling of communications by US ships in the Gulf was happening during Kamp Katrina as part of an opportunistic FEMA martial law quarantine excercise.
At the same time, Mockingbird press were reporting heavy sunspot interference with communications.

Both could be true.

"How free should the press be?" ech. This is the biggest story few are covering or dialing into their analysis of the stories they read.

re "Animal Farm"

Postby pfredricks » Fri Mar 10, 2006 5:19 pm

"Animal Farm" - the 1954 British animation feature based on Orwell's novel - was paid for by the CIA (who by most accounts insisted on the ending change). They picked up the rights to the book after Orwell's death. I'd imagine that this entry - if not the film itself - is about that. (Of course, it could also be about the infamous beastiality picture of the same name, pehaps shown to "special" guests at Langley.)

Oh, to have the time and the resources to go through all this lot. You know the media sure as hell won't. Bring on the day when NARA puts everything online.
