Another Annoying Rightwinger Email

I have a friend who keeps sending me these annoying emails that the rightwing circulates amongst themselves. Any comments I can relay to her would be appreciated. Subject: REMEMBER THIS, WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN Anyone remember this?? It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration. There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?" Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir." The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?" "No, sir," continued Ollie. "No? And why not?" the senator asked. "Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir." "Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned. "By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered. "Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?" "His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied. At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked. "Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered. "And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator. "Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth." The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip. By the way, that senator was Al Gore! Also: Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners." However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released. Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports.

I have an annoying right-wing e-mailer too; when it first started, I sent him links and excerpts refuting the "facts" he had sent. He ignored me and kept sending them. I wrote to tell him I would delete all his future mailings, regardless of whether they were political. That was three years ago. I delete at least two from him every day.

....Coming from me, this may surprise you partisan freedom fighters. I was alive and awake way back then, sort of. I only add the sort of awake, 'cause you're being blogged at by a "missled" dummy who thought that "Shrub" wasn't part of that crap until 2004. Since then, I have learned, and believe better. But back to the American Arab, "Ollie bin Bitchin'". He smelled bad even then, to old Floyd. The Rat-Fink Nazi Bastid actually had the utter gall to not only move here to my beloved home state of Virginia, but to actually run for the Republican nomination for the Senate race a few whiles ago. Though, not yet fully educated about all of the players in the popular home-game of PTB (Place The Blame), even back then we Republicans (not Floyd, no more, folks), at least had the good sense to go to the polls and send his NWO/CIA ass packing, at least politically. You want puke? I'll give you puke. In mid-2002 the "We freed Atta" claim was twinned in e-mail with another popular Internet canard, the "Oliver North warned us about Osama" falsity. Oliver North- 1) helped plan the elimination of the Constitution by FEMA in the infamous REX84 plan. Former CIA station chief in Angola John Stockwell warned us of this in 1987. 2)sold weapons to Iran which was designated a terrorist nation at the time 3)helped set-up terrorist death squads in Central America with the help of the current intel czar John Negroponte 4)was responsible for flooding the US with cocaine to finance the Reagan illegal wars in Central America which would be best described as mass-murder. So Oliver North is a narcoterrorist who makes bin Laden look like a Boy Scout by comparison. Oh, and was made a hero for all this and given a radio show.

I prefer to respond to her occassional forward. I figure every vote counts. Here's a funny. One time she sent me a forward with an attachment from one of her network who was whipping the list into action about some action coming at the FCC about "THE F WORD!!!". My friend knows me well, accepts me as is, so I replied, "On, no, what the fuck are we going to do????" Only problem was, I wasn't replying to my friend, but forgot that I was replying to the attachment. Heehee. That woman on the receiving end was not amused.
