But it's still that same old human sacrifice thing:

I probably overstated my case at the time with a whole bunch of symbology woo-woo, but nevertheless I still see this as being the case.
I feel sorry for Britney, but the best thing we can do is look away. Once you're a brand/icon within the Spectacle, your persona is seldom yours anymore.
