End of anonymity on the Net? End of free speech?

Well, the globalists are sure moving fast on things. I wonder why. This article is VERY disturbing to me. I wonder if this means they are going to track any sites we may visit on the Internet. Yes, it will start with the EU, if passed, but it's happening everywhere. Per Alex Jones, free speech is almost gone. With it, talk radio will be gone, at least shows like his. Where is that crying icon when I need it?
------------------------

The European Commission has adopted proposals to log details of all telephone, Internet, and e-mail traffic, to combat terrorism and serious crime.

The push for EU-wide data storage came after the Madrid bomb attacks last year, and intensified after the London bomb attacks in July, when Britain took over the rotating EU presidency.

The Commission proposes storing data related to mobile and fixed telephone traffic for a year, to allow the police to trace the time, place, and numbers used.

Internet data such as e-mails would be kept for six months.

The Commission's text aims to harmonise the current patchwork of data retention practices across the bloc.

The executive's Vice President Franco Frattini said the harmonisation will take into account the fundamental rights of security, the protection of private information, the interests of the police and concerns of industry.

www.abc.net.au/news/newsi...465671.htm

you are right to be bothered by this article. Hopefully, the Europeans will vote this down.

Should it pass, I don't know anything about cell phones, but there are ways to get around the email stuff if you have something to hide...anonymous email servers, for example. So really, it wouldn't even do any good.

Use tor

tor.eff.org/cvs/tor/doc/t...win32.html

Unlike anonymous proxies tor does nothing illegal, it simply randomizes all requests over all computers in the network making it virtually impossible to trace which computer is requesting what, since only the source and destination machine have a brief contact.

Downsides:
* Speed is limited to 20Kbps. Users with connections (up and down) below 20Kbps cannot use the full functionality.
* Google (and some other programs) will become very weird, because the language changes everytime you try to select it.
* It is not fully anonymous, but all webrequest will be chaotic and since the ports differ any tracking software registering HTTPrequests will be left blank.

This is (and has been) happening, now they are just admitting it, probably because they want to leverage the capability in a broader and overt context.
What may be "new" is the focus on forums, blogs, and podcasts resulting from enhancements in collections, storage, data mining and anlysis, and automated disambiguation and machine reasoning technology.

gee, I wonder why...

Someone once said that when the NWO finally slides to home base, they'll do so naked in all their treachery.

The internet is simply too dangerous for their propaganda machine. 9/11 as a hoax is almost common knowledge, and the London Bombing was debunked in a matter of HOURS.

The closer they get, the more vulnerable they become.

Last night for about an hour and a half, I couldn't connect to any blogspots.com! Regular .coms I could get with no problem, but not blogspots. Maybe that's nothing big and just local ... but it gave me cause for pause.
