On a much lighter note...don't know if this is going to be a democratic "Live365" station, but I'm certainly interested in the artists/bands you think should be included...post away! RI Radio-What you don't hear can't hurt them!

Remember the guy who told Cheney "Go fuck yourself" during a press conference in the days after Katrina?

His name is Ben Marble. He's an ER doctor and a musician. He has a MySpace Page and you can see the video of him telling Cheney what he should do to himself, as well as listen to his political rantings through his music. I would want these songs included!

Edited by: GDN01 at: 9/30/05 11:34 am

Well, when I attempted to edit, all my music suggestions just vanished from existence, replaced with the message above...

Edited by: robertdreed at: 9/30/05 12:04 pm

maybe too obvious, but both Twin Peaks soundtracks (TV show and Fire Walk With Me) would be great music to accompany this reading. and in that vein, 50s pop and phil spector 60s stuff would be nice too. really happy, sunshiney music might make the material stand out more and give us all our daily dose of sad irony.

on the other hand, any soundtrack to a 1950s science fiction film involving theramin could be good too.

Chumbawamba - "Everything You Know is Wrong." Best conspiracy theory song ever. A bit flip, considering the subject matter, but catchy!

"Taking scissors to play cut up with the black vote down in Florida
coloured pens and glitter glue for sexing up the dossier.
I'm the someone who knew something they're not telling pre-September.
I lean on people in the loop to help them un-remember."
